The battle kicked off, as the pages of Elizabeth's book flipped rapidly, a card materialized itself from the book as Elizabeth grasped it.
A slight smirk could be seen on her face as she was enveloped in a blue light, but before her persona could even form itself into reality the card she was holding shattered, a projectile had hit her tarot card before she could react.
Her eyes immediately focused on the item that was in Ren's hand. He was holding a gun with an unusual design, the tip of the gun released a reddish smoke as Ren blew it away.
"Well that worked." Ren took advantage of the time he had bought by stunning Elizabeth, his persona materialized behind him as he casted 3 different skills in a mere second.
"[Concentrate], [Heat Riser], [Debilitate]." He chanted in a hushed voice, Elizabeth could her body becoming sluggish as Debilitate had done it's job.
"I don't know how well this attack scales with this world... So try not to die." Elizabeth felt Joker's power surge a tremendous amount as the radiant blue flame surrounding his body raged uncontrollably.
"[Sinful Shell]" Ren uttered, his voice deathly calm. At his command, Satanael erupted in cackles that befitted his title as a Demon Lord.
Satanael's right arm morphed into a long rifle's muzzle. A myriad of lights converged, shaping into a sphere that solidified into a bullet, seamlessly slotting itself into Satanael's arm. This, was Sinful Shell. A bullet created from the power of the seven deadly sins, the very bullet that pierced a hole through The God of Control's head.
The bullet was released from Satanael's chamber, its speed causing sonic boom. Elizabeth barely registered a blur before the bullet halted inches from her, her reaction terribly late.
The projectile detonated into a vibrant dome of light, engulfing the Velvet Room Attendant. The dome rapidly contracted before bursting in a dazzling show of colorful lights, flinging Elizabeth backward. She slammed into the wall of a clockwork tower-like building, leaving a indentation.
Shaking from the impact, Elizabeth slowly stood up, her body trembling. She summoned the book she had always held close to her. Pages fluttered wildly as a Persona card materialized, which she grasped, summoning her power.
"[Diarahan...]" she whispered. A soft green glow enveloped her, mending her injuries completely.
Joker could only facepalm, having completely forgotten she could do that.
Elizabeth jumped from the building unto the circular floor that has served as their arena.
A mask identical to what Joker had worn earlier formed in his hand as he put it on. The radiant blue flame surrounding him calmed as he switched Persona's.
"My, that was truly impressive. That attack nearly took me down." Elizabeth's slowly walked back to her position as she struck a conversation.
"You really are tougher than you look." Ren scoffed, a glint formed in Elizabeth's as she examined the new persona that materialized itself into existence calmly levitating behind Joker.
"Power befitting of a wielder of the wild card." A smile returned on her face as she gauged Ren's reaction.
Joker wasn't the least bit surprised that she was able to recognize that he was a wielder of the wild card. After all, he had intentionally switched Persona's Infront of her.
The sound of fluttering pages drowned the silence as Joker and Elizabeth calmly stared at each other.
"What's say we hold a truce?" Elizabeth closed her book as she held it to her side.
"Fine by me." Kaguya dematerialized as Joker unsummned his persona.
"But why the sudden hostility?" Joker calmly asked Elizabeth as he stuck his hands inside his pockets.
"Oh, you mean earlier? I apologize for that. You were exuding a very impressive amount of power when you barged into this room. I couldn't help but feel threatened. After all, I couldn't even sense you until you set foot here, I should always be prepared for an ambush." Elizabeth explained herself with a smile.
Seeing her, Joker had to admit. Seeing and hearing her in person made him feel strange.
"That's quite a fair point. But barge in? I was teleported here."
"Teleported? By whom?"
"Don't know." Joker shrugged, as a pretty butterfly caught his eye.
"I see... Well let me escort you to the back to the entrance. The Dark Hour is almost over." Joker followed her through a door Elizabeth summoned.
The door teleported them back to the entrance of Tartarus.
Joker looked around the entrance, from the staircase that led up to the first floor of Tartarus to the general vicinity, it all looked so familiar to him.
'I wonder if this is how Tartarus looks like in Persona 3 Reload...' Joker sighed, he had many regrets in life. From not getting to fuck Kawakami in a maid costume, to not being to play Persona 3 Reload. He was a massive fan of the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series.
And not being able to play the remake of one of his favorite games have him some mental anguish.
The saving grace to all of this is was his life as Joker, and now his new life as Joker, in the Persona 3 world.
'Technically.. the Persona story revolves around the same world but through different times. So doesn't that mean that instead of crossing over, I instead time traveled?' He pondered.
"Is something wrong? You've been staring into space for quite some time now." His pondering was interrupted by Elizabeth bringing him back to reality.
"Just thinking.." He answered.
"Well alright... Are you leaving now?"
"Hm, Yes." Joker made his way to the exit, his steps steady.
"I see, then do come visit some time. My master... Would love to have a chat with you if you have the time."
"Alright. Tell Igor I said hi." He left a few parting words, the door to the exit opened itself as it let Joker through, leaving Elizabeth to stare at his departing figure.
As Joker exited Tartarus, Elizabeth opened the door to the Velvet Room. This era's velvet room was different from the one Joker was familiar with, the design of the Velvet Room resembled that of an elevator. Thus why Elizabeth calls herself an "Elevator Attendant."
"A wielder of the wild card that's not of this timeline... I do wonder, just what does this entail? Will this prisoner of fate alter this world ultimately saving it... Or will be perhaps bring it to ruin..? Only time will tell." The man sitting at the center of the room spoke in a light voice, he wore a grin that was hard to read.
A butterfly bearing a beatiful blue flew with majesty, it's presence cloaked with mystery as it followed the Trickster, it's eyes observing the world, and the start of two shackled Fools.
————[Chapter End]————
A/N: Sorry I wasn't able to upload a chapter yesterday, I had the sudden urge to be depressed to instead of creating this chapter I rewatched Cyberpunk Edgerunners and destroyed myself for the second time.
It really helped.
Also, consider this world AU. Since I might say or do some shit that differs from Persona lore.
