Chapter 5 - Chapter 005: Hiashi Hyūga

As soon as he arrived at the Ninja Academy, Satori Hyūga was stopped.

The person before him wore the traditional garb of the Hyūga clan. Despite his young age, he wore a stern expression that looked strict and serious.

"Satori Hyūga, we need to talk."

Hiashi Hyūga raised his hand to block Satori's path, his tone stern.

"Hiashi Hyūga, do you have something to say? If not, don't block my way to class."

For this so-called future clan head, Satori had little regard.

The Hyūga Clan wasn't solely under the control of the Main House.

The elders could also pressure the clan leader when they gathered together.

Hiashi hadn't officially become the clan leader yet, so Satori feared him not in the least.

Give him some time, and though he might not completely crush Hiashi underfoot, he would still confront him without hesitation.

Upon hearing those words, Hiashi frowned. Looking at Satori with disappointment and frustration, he said, "I've already heard about yesterday's incident from the Branch House members. You've gone too far."

"As someone from the Main House, how could you abuse your authority like that?"

"And besides, you're always slacking off, causing the entire Hyūga Clan to become a laughingstock at school."

"Do you even know what people say behind your back? 'The dead last of the Hyūga family.' I'm embarrassed on your behalf."

As he listened to this nickname, Satori's lips twitched slightly.

The dead last of the Hyūga.

It echoed the Uchiha Clan's infamous title of "dead last."

But unlike others who might go mad with obsession over love, he generally wouldn't go so far as to kill his teacher or massacre the entire clan.

So what if this world is rotten?

He was part of the Main House, someone who thrived in this decaying world.

Still, being lectured like this by someone his own age irritated Satori deeply.

"Hiashi, you're meddling in things that aren't your business. You're not the clan leader yet."

"Save the lectures for when you actually become the leader."

After saying this, Satori ignored Hiashi's furious expression and walked straight to his seat in the classroom.

"What an arrogant bastard! He just does whatever he wants!"

"He still acts like the genius everyone used to praise," Hiashi muttered through clenched teeth.

The reason he believed what the Branch House children said and came looking for Satori was partly due to personal resentment.

Since childhood, Hiashi had been scolded constantly—always told to look at Satori Hyūga, how obedient and responsible he was, how much he loved studying.

No one could understand how painful it was,

Being constantly compared and lectured while growing up as the heir of the Hyūga Clan.

Satori—the nightmare that overshadowed his youth.

The perfect child everyone admired.

This time, he used reprimanding Satori as an excuse, hoping to finally break free from that psychological burden.

Never did he expect that Satori, the fallen genius, would treat him with such indifference—as if he wasn't even worth acknowledging.

"Darn it... I must teach him a harsh lesson!"

By the afternoon,

Under the helpless gaze of their teacher, Satori was once again the first to bolt out of the classroom.

But waiting right outside the door stood a familiar figure—Hiashi.

"Hahahaha! Scared yet, Satori Hyūga?" A boy shouted, leaping out beside him with a laugh.

"Lord Hiashi came specially at my invitation—to teach you what honor and dignity truly mean to the Hyūga Clan!" Chonghuo proclaimed proudly.

"The Main House's Young Chief is the true genius. You, a disgraced genius, are nothing compared to him."

As a Branch House member, under normal circumstances, he wasn't even permitted to lay a finger on a Main House member.

Thus, growing angrier by the second, he could only confront the Main House's Young Chief—Hiashi Hyūga.

Hiashi was the current clan leader's son and already commanded great respect among the younger generation despite his youth.

His Gentle Fist technique had also reached a level of perfection, making him incomparably superior to Satori Hyūga—the so-called disgraced genius.

Satori shot Chonghuo Hyūga a glance and muttered two words:

"Idiot."

Still, he found the whole thing secretly amusing.

The Hyūga were a prestigious, powerful family in Konoha, known for their strict rules and rigid, conservative personalities.

For the younger generation of the Hyūga to come after him like this truly meant they were furious over his careless lifestyle.

Under normal circumstances,

only the hotheaded Uchiha would act this recklessly.

"Follow me," Satori said, striding forward first as he gestured for everyone to follow.

"Hey, Satori Hyūga! Where do you think you're going? Are you scared of Young Master Hiashi and trying to run away?" Chonghuo shouted.

Satori chuckled aloud, his lips curling into an arrogant smirk.

"Run away? Hilarious. I was just about to teach you brats a lesson."

He stood with his hands clasped behind his back, radiating an inexplicable yet overwhelming presence.

"Today, I'll show you all that even a disgraced genius is still a genius—one you lowlifes have no right to mock."

[Feeding-Back Jutsu 2.0] has been activated. Now, he could release a bit more of his strength.

Taking down a few little kids would be effortless with his refined Gentle Fist techniques.

Besides, he no longer wanted to carry the embarrassing label of being the Hyūga Clan's useless dead last.

That title felt oddly awkward somehow.

He should probably avoid meeting up with Obito Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki in the future.

People might start shouting things like "Look! The three generations of dead lasts have reunited!"

Just thinking about it made him cringe.

"How dare you talk like that?! If you weren't part of the Main House, I'd beat you within an inch of your life!" Chonghuo growled, clenching his fists furiously.

Being in the same class as Satori had always been agonizing for him.

Every time he saw Satori sleeping through lessons, Chonghuo felt resentment toward the unfair system between Main and Branch Houses.

How could such an apathetic, lazy person be born into the noble Main House?

Just thinking about how he'd one day have to risk his life protecting this guy filled Chonghuo with rage.

How much more unfair could this world get?

Satori easily sensed Chonghuo's longstanding hatred for him—an anger he'd never had the chance to release.

Nobody liked feeling inferior or becoming someone else's tool.

To Satori, the Caged Bird Seal was just as absurd—it shielded the Byakugan but fractured the clan.

Fortunately, he himself benefited from it.

Thinking this, his mood lifted significantly.

"Chonghuo Hyūga," Satori said, "you seem really worked up. I'll give you the chance to attack me. Whether you can defeat me or not depends purely on your strength."

Chonghuo's eyes went wide with disbelief as he asked,

"Of course, my words stand. I, Satori Hyūga, have the means to stand by them."

Chonghuo Hyūga's eyes darted toward Hiashi Hyūga.

Hiashi furrowed his brow slightly but, and seeing how Satori regarded them all with disdain, gave a light nod.

Satori had grown far too arrogant. It was time someone brought him down a peg.

Seeing Hiashi's approval, Chonghuo straightened his back and immediately felt emboldened and resolute.

For a Branch House member to strike a Main House heir—especially with the young master's nod—no one would dare retaliate against him.

Chonghuo sprang into the center in a single fluid motion, took a fighting stance, and lunged straight at Satori Hyūga.
