Chapter 10 - The Secret Weopon of Doctor Gary Victor

"As you see, I have lockdown the entire facility, and you will not be able to reach me to turn me to your side with whatever weird power it is that you have." I heard the voice from the speaker in the hallway say as everything became locked and magnetically sealed.

The intercom went offline, and the hallway went entirely silent.

This Terran was a fool if he thought that something as simple as a lockdown could stop me from reaching him. I would have to show him how wrong he was to underestimate the power that was at my disposal.

"What are the options that we have to get to the part of the facility where he is most likely located?" I asked the female scientist that had chosen to join our cause.

"We could try to override his controls and possibly gain control of some of the defense systems in this particular building." She said to me as she pulled out a tablet and started to put in something into the data pad.

Stop her from doing that. If she enables the turrets, we will not have very many who will ever get the chance to join us in our family.

"Do not enable the turrets. We need as many of the terrans alive that we can have so they will have the choice of joining our collective just like you did." I said to her as I placed my right hand onto her shoulder.

"Okay as you command Fulkore. I will do whatever I can to further advance the goals of The Fulkore Collective." She said as she finished punching in some data on the tablet that was in her right hand.

Then the doors of the hallway opened, and I walked down the dimly lit hall. When I made vit to the end I saw that the tube that connected the section of the facility that I was currently in to the next building being cut off by some Terrans that were using torches that emitted a small blue flame.

"Oh, come on, did you really think that I was going to make it that easy for you to reach me?" the Terran leader said to me as I saw the tube entirely disconnect from the building that I was in.

"No, I did not expect for you to make it easy for me, but you are clearly an idiot even for a Terran if you think this will stop me in my objective to claim this facility for The Fulkore Collective." I said as I leaped out of the facility through the opening that the soldiers had created by cutting off the tube that connected this building to the next one of the mining facilities.

When I leaped down, I bounced up back into the air about four inches due to the lack of strong gravity.

The warriors of the Fulkore Collective that were with me jumped down right behind me and attacked the terrans with brutal efficiency as if they were connected into some kind of network that made all their thoughts unified.

"Are all of the members of The Fulkore Collective connected in some way?" I asked the ai since I wanted to know how or why they were so efficient as a group.

Yes, we are connected as one mind through a type of network that we were unintentionally given by The Ancient Cyborg Slavery Bureaucracy when they tried to take control of us to turn us against our creators.

That was a truly interesting fact to know about the race that I had become a member of in my new life after I was betrayed by the Terran that used my urge to prove my theory as a professor to extend his life at all costs.

Each of the Terrans that were on the ground in front of me each had on a gas mask that only covered their faces from the top of their mouths to their chins. This gas mask had the symbol of a white tiger claw on it, which meant this facility belonged to the house of Tigris.

Then I took the oxygen masks that the Terrans were wearing and jumped back into the facility that I had just left.

"Here I grabbed the oxygen masks that the Terrans were wearing so that you can come with me to the next building of the mining facilities." I said to the female scientist who chose to join us.

"Thank you" she said to me as she placed the gas mask on her face.

"I forgot to ask you. What do they call you?" I asked her as soon as I saw her put on the mask.

"My Name is Dr. Elara Voss." She said in a deep, altered voice because of the oxygen mask.

She then jumped out of the building, and I followed her to the opening to the next building where the pipe was cut off.

The next building was a facility that was clearly meant for the Terrans to stay in when they were away from their work.

"I will need to make it to my apartment so that I can get a project that I was working on in my off time because I think that it could be a very useful in us gaining access to the area where the leader of this mining operation lives without letting them know where we are at." Dr. Voss said to me as she stated to increase her movement speed, and she turned her back to me.

We do not have the time for this. I need to ensure that we get the Paradisus in its natural state so that we can refine it into the states that we need it to be in for our use.

After the ai spoke to me, I noticed that he took control in a flash because I was now in the pool of blue energy once again.

This time, I would need to try and make it to where the ai could hear me just like I was able to hear his thoughts when I was in control of the body.

In front of me, I saw a terminal that had a button on it, but I was not able to see how it was shaped or even touch it. with every swipe of my hands, I phased through it as if it was not there.

I began to focus, and I noticed that the terminal in front of me began to turn solid. Then I grabbed it, and I knew that I could clearly speak to the ai that took control of me only a few moments ago.

We are going to discuss when you will be taking control of my body. I will not allow you to just force your control over the body that we both share.

"It is good to see that you have finally figured out how I was able to talk to you while you were in control of the body that we both share."

I wanted to respond back to him, but I fell back and let go of the terminal due to the amount of my energy that I lost when talking to him.

"It is not so easy to be able to communicate through the terminal when you are the one on the inside." The ai said as he started to walk to the end of the hallway where there was an elevator.

The ai was right. It was not an easy task to maintain a conversation with the ai when it was controlling my body.

The elevator opened, and the ai got inside of it.

"You are truly foolish if you think that I will allow you to just come up here to my personal headquarters. You are clearly mistaken." He said to the ai through the speakers as the elevator started to move.

As soon as the leader of this ming facility finished speaking I noticed that the elevator began drop at a rapid rate which meant that someone had cut the wires that were meant to pull it up and down to the right floor.

The ai climbed out of the elevator from an opening in the roof.

It was a very narrow space that the au was climbing in. the ai jumped from wall to wall every six feet or so.

After the ai had been climbing for about ten minutes, they had made it to the top floor of the building.

After the ai opened the door, I knew that I had found the Terran that oversaw the operations of this mining facility because of the clear display of the wealth that this man possessed.

As I was spectating from inside of the body where I could only observe what was going on around me. I refuse to use the terminal that allows my words to be heard through the thoughts of the ai because of the massive strain that it brought to me while I was not in actual control of the body.

I was able to see what was going on in the room through the eyes of the ai that allowed my mind to merge with his body.

There were twelve men in front of the ai that were all wearing a thin white set of power armor with a black helmet. Their armor looked skin tight, and on the chest area of the armor, there was a symbol of a white tiger head. They all carried assault rifles with a laser sight pointed at my new robot body.

The assault rifles they had one thing that made it different from the standard version of the rifle. The difference was that the ammo chamber lit up a light blue color and seemed to be electrically charged.

"If you move even one step, I will short circuit your robotic body. I do not care if you are spin-off group from The Ancient Cyborg Slavery Bureaucracy, I will end this miserable excuse for a movement right now". The leader of this facility said to the ai as he spun around in his chair and placed his hands on the table that was right in front of him.

As soon as he mentioned the name of the cyborgs the ai became filled with rage and the pool of light blue liquid that I was in while I was not in control of the body quickly turned blood red and began to boil.

"You are a fool of a Terran if you think that the members of The Fulkore Collective are anything like those filthy abominations known as cyborgs." The ai said as he started to walk towards the soldiers, not afraid of the weapons that they had pointed at him.

The soldiers all fired their weapons at the ai and I saw that his entire right arm was blown off, but this did not seem to even phase the ai in his pursuit of the leader of this mining facility.

Then, the missing limb began to regenerate, and it was fully grown back circuits and all in about six seconds.

At the sight of this, the men began to hesitate, which the ai was willing to exploit.

The ai rushed at the men choosing to knock them out instead of killing them so that they could become members of The Fulkore Collective.

"As I said to you, we are nothing like the members of The Ancient Cyborg Slavery Bureaucracy. We are so much more." The ai said to the leader as he tossed the last of his elite guards onto the floor.

The leader of the facility put a cigar in his mouth and took a liter that was made of gold and activated it.

I noticed that it was not a liter because after he activated it, an artifact that was triangle shaped and more than six inches in diameter rose from inside the table that was in front of him.

It sent out a pulse of electric energy and then did it again ten seconds later at a different intensity.

As the second wave of energy from the artifact hit the ai's body, he stopped moving entirely as if his system were in full shutdown mode.

"You see I thought that your type of ai looked familiar to some of the octopus like robots that we that are employed by The House of Tigris found in a set of ruins on a barren world of The Ancient Osdronian Dynasty."

The third wave of electrical energy hit, and the body was still dysfunctional.

"This artifact was found in those ruins. Our top scientists tell us that it should disable all machines that are not touch by an organic lifeform long enough for the next electrical wave to hit your robotic body to keep you pinned to the ground like a helpless animal that is about to die." He said as he touched the artifact and began to back away slowly.

"By the time that this thing runs out of juice and you can move around freely, I will be off this world, and you will always remember the Terran that bested you. Remember my name Squid Head. My name is Dr. Gary Victor and I will be a Terran that you will never forget.

He then left the room via a secret elevator that I saw behind an old and large grandfather clock.

The electrical waves began to slow down in their speed, which allowed the ai to move closer to the source of this pain that he had endured.

Then, the ai destroyed the artifact with a squeeze of his robotic hand.

After that, I was in full control of our shared body once again, and now I knew what it was like for the ai to feel pain and to feel helpless. The fact that even he could feel pain meant that I was starting to like him since he was getting closer to what it felt like to be Terran.

Now that I had full control of the body, I sent messages to all our warriors to gather the Terrans of this mining facility all into one section of the facility so that I could grant them each a decision.

The soldiers all chose to place them all in the mess hall section of this facility since it had the most seats in it.

I made my way across the facility to the mess hall and saw that there were Terrans from all the castes presently in the room.

"Hello there, do not be alarmed by the visual appearances of me and my warriors. We were all once Terrans like you, but now we are so much more." I said to all the Terrans that were in the mess hall.

I noticed that everyone had their eyes entirely fixed on me as I began to speak. Now if I was in my former body, it would have terrified me to have so many people staring at me, but since I was no longer bound by the limitations of the flesh it seemed to give me more confidence as I saw them all staring at me waiting for the next few words to be spoken into existence.

"You see, we each chose to abandon the limitations of our Terran flesh, which allowed us to ascend to a higher plain of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. In this new life that we have embraced we are not divided by the castes that we are members of instead, we are unified through the sharing of knowledge that we each possess in a common pool of information. If you wish to embrace the way of living that we offer you in The Fulkore Collective, then please stand up from your seats."

As soon as I finished speaking, almost all the members of the Crafter, Science, and Warrior castes stood up to show that we were tired of the oppression and separation of their people.

"Those that have chosen to embrace the new life and type of unity that we offer will not regret their decision to become a member of The Fulkore Collective. The first thing that I need for you to do for the sake of the collective is gather all the Paradisus that was mined here and place into our vessel. Our ship will have a few robots that look very similar to me in front of it." I said to those who chose to join the collective.

Then they all seem to move in unison out of the room with a type of unity that was somehow very close to what I was offering them.

As soon as the last of the new people of our collective had left the room, the other robots that were in the room killed them on my order.

The reason that I did this was because they had chosen not to join. They were choosing death over embracing the new life that I was offering them. I was happy to fulfill their death request. This galaxy would be a little bit more purified without their impure ideals infecting the other Terrans around them.
