Chapter 15 - Chapter 15 – 【Eye Meridian Nourishing Elixir】 and the Longevity Formula Secured

"Haha! Good—just like that. Let's get started!"

Dr. Kureha chuckled in satisfaction. She was really starting to like this straightforward little brat.

Without wasting time, she began thoroughly examining Genkei and Chiri's physical conditions.

Within ten minutes, she was done.

Her eyes widened slightly with surprise as she looked at the two of them.

"Better than I expected! From what I can tell, your recovery must've begun within the past two weeks, correct?"

"You, brat—what method did you use to treat yourselves?"

"This isn't something ordinary medicine could accomplish. You must be cultivating some kind of advanced vitality-nurturing art."

She paused, then waved a hand dismissively.

"Eh, never mind. I won't pry."

"Anyway, your bodies are in better shape than I predicted. I'll prescribe you both two supplementary recovery formulas—they should accelerate your healing process considerably."

"With these prescriptions paired with your current method, Genkei—you'll be fully restored within a month."

"And you—"

She turned to Chiri, her gaze sharp.

"With your bodily essence depleted, but supplemented by your son's technique and my prescriptions, ten days should be enough for a full recovery."

"But as for the soul…"

She took a long swig of her plum wine.

"That's not so simple."

"Even if I tailor a soul-repairing elixir just for you, full recovery will take half a year at the minimum. Maybe a year."

"That said, once that's resolved, your right eye should be able to recover alongside your soul—assuming you use the right method."

Chiri's face stiffened at that, clearly startled.

Kureha snorted and continued bluntly:

"Your right eye's blindness is clearly tied to your life essence and soul damage, isn't it?"

"My advice? Don't use that ability again. It costs you years off your life."

"Also—your left eye and the meridians around it are heavily damaged."

"I'd wager your vision is affected, too."

"Recently, thanks to your son's help, your life energy has boosted slightly and you've seen some healing—but it's not enough."

"I'll prepare a special formula—a nourishing tonic that strengthens the ocular nerves and meridians. Use it regularly."

"Once your eyes are reinforced enough to resist future strain, you can stop."

She'd already guessed that Chiri had some sort of bloodline-based ocular ability—something incomplete or degraded over generations.

This strain on the eyes and surrounding chakra pathways… wasn't a design flaw; it was the symptom of a diluted or unstable bloodline.

Her solution would only be a temporary patch.

The real fix? Strengthening the bloodline from its origin—complicated, messy work that required rare ingredients.

Kureha wasn't interested in all that trouble.

She'd leave it to Genkei once he absorbed her knowledge.

From the rapid recovery she'd witnessed, she had no doubt the boy's medical skills were already impressive.

As for chakra and its hidden risks?

She'd noticed.

But didn't bring it up.

In her view, as long as they replenished their nutrition and didn't over-extract life force, chakra was manageable.

In this world? There was no shortage of nourishment.

"You… you really have a way to fix it?"

Chiri was astonished. The idea of recovering from the Mangekyō's degenerative side effect was unthinkable.

"Thank you, Dr. Kureha!"

Her heart was racing.

If this tonic could reinforce the optic meridians… could it be the solution to the Mangekyō's curse?

Could she even use this to push her Sharingan toward the legendary Eternal Mangekyō—like Uchiha Madara once wielded?

Yes—Chiri knew of its existence.

She wasn't just some average clanswoman.

She was born in the generation that saw Madara's rise.

Back then, her family—the Uchiha's Great Elder Line—still held the clan's deepest secrets.

Unfortunately, once Madara left the village, many of those records were lost—either destroyed or taken with him.

The younger generations barely knew anything anymore.

"No big deal."

Kureha shrugged.

She quickly scrawled out a set of prescriptions—one each for Genkei and Chiri, plus the custom eye-repair tonic.

She handed the paper to Genkei.

"Here—these are your formulas. The ingredients are all available here on Drum Island. You'll have to prepare them yourselves—I'm not mixing your meds."

"As for your custom nutritional tonic, body-strengthening elixir, and your mother's soul-repair formula—those'll take a few more days."

"But your final request—the longevity formula? I've already got it written out."

"Come with me. I'll show you my library as well. From now on, if you need anything, you'll know where to look."

She turned and strode toward a back room.

Genkei eagerly followed.

They soon arrived in a massive archive room—bookshelves lined every wall, stacked with thousands of medical texts.

She walked over to a locked cabinet, input a hidden mechanism, and retrieved a sealed scroll from a treasure box.

"This," she said, handing him a page, "is the longevity formula. Memorize it and give it back—I'm not writing a second copy, and I don't trust you not to lose it."

"With your mental and spiritual capacity, photographic memory shouldn't be a problem."

She'd seen it in her exams—his enhanced soul, his brain function, even their cellular structure.

Three times the average human's cell count.

She'd seen his mother had it, too.

She didn't comment on it—out of principle.

But her professional opinion?

If they kept training and eating right, both would eventually reach Emperor-level combat ability.

"Looks like you saw quite a lot in your exams, Dr. Kureha."

Genkei smiled, not denying it.

He glanced over the sheet—his brain instantly recording every word.

Then he returned it calmly.

"Haha!"

Kureha grinned as she resealed the vault.

"Just a teeny peek! You two let me scan you, remember! That's on you!"

Then, her expression grew serious.

"With a triple cell count, your physical enhancement and Armament Haki potential are leagues above average."

"You should be careful. Don't let that detail slip to anyone."

"There are bad actors in this world—and unique traits always attract attention."

She took another swig from her bottle.

"There used to be a race called the Lunarians—people thought they were gods."

"They had flame powers, crazy regeneration."

"They were nearly wiped out by the World Government because of it."

"Rumor is the last survivor is under Kaido's wing."

Genkei's face hardened.

He nodded sincerely.

"Understood. Thank you, Dr. Kureha. I'll be careful."

He'd already noticed the abnormal cellular activity during his training.

His mother's progress had been even more obvious.

They had an advantage now—but they had to play it smart.
