"When Love Became Braver Than Fear"
The sun had begun to shine in all its brilliance.
A gentle mix of warm and cool breezes filled the air with the fragrance of love.
Richer smiled and said,
"Looks like you really liked that slide…"
Ramish replied with a soft smile,
"Yes… while taking that slide, it felt as if
I was reliving my childhood… with you."
A sparkle appeared in Richer's eyes.
"Then come on… let's try some more slides!"
"Alright…"
Ramish said with a smile.
The two of them slowly walked toward the Slithers Slides.
The slides twisted like serpents,
and at the end of them was a giant snake's open mouth,
making them look both fascinating and slightly terrifying.
With excitement, Richer said,
"Come on, Ramish… let's enjoy this one too!"
Ramish glanced at the depth of the water
and said with slight hesitation,
"Richer… this water looks a bit deep…"
Richer reassured him,
"Don't worry… it's not more than three feet deep.
And look, there are safety guards as well."
Ramish nodded slowly.
"I don't think… I'll be able to do this…"
Richer gently said,
"Come with me… at least try once.
I'll go down first,
and when you come, I'll be there to hold you."
Ramish gave a nervous smile
and sat at the edge of the pool, dipping his feet into the water.
"You go… I'll watch you…"
Richer leaned slightly closer, smiling,
and whispered near Ramish's ear,
"If you take this slide with me…
then tonight, I'll sleep in your arms…"
Ramish was startled.
He looked at Richer in surprise.
"Richer… you're joking, right?"
Richer shook his head playfully.
"No… I'm completely serious."
Ramish immediately stood up.
"Fine… then don't go back on your word.
You go first… I'll come right after you!"
Richer smiled,
"That's what I wanted to hear…"
They climbed the stairs together and reached the top.
The height wasn't too much,
but Ramish still felt a fear of water deep inside him.
Yet this time, he had gathered the courage—
because he wanted to hold Richer in his arms that night.
Richer sat in the tube first,
and Ramish sat right behind him.
Nervously, Ramish said,
"Richer… these dark tunnels look really scary…
you should go alone…"
Richer looked at him with a mischievous smile,
and suddenly grabbed Ramish's foot with one hand
while pulling the rope forward with the other.
"Richer… please don't do this!"
Ramish said in panic.
But the moment Richer's tube entered the tunnel,
Ramish was pulled along with him.
The next instant,
both of them rushed down the dark tunnel at high speed, spinning.
Ramish shouted loudly,
"Richer! This wasn't nice!"
Richer laughed and said,
"Ramish! Don't be scared… enjoy the moment!"
"I'll deal with you when we get down!"
Ramish replied.
Richer kept laughing, shouting in excitement.
Moments later,
Richer splashed into the water,
and Ramish followed right after him.
Richer quickly steadied himself
and immediately held Ramish, helping him stand.
Smiling, he said,
"So… you finally did it."
Ramish narrowed his eyes playfully.
"And you remember your promise, right?"
Richer teased,
"Which promise?"
Ramish lightly pinched him.
"Now you remember?"
Richer laughed and started walking away,
but Ramish splashed water at him.
Richer laughed and splashed water back and Said,
"Ramish! Stop splashing water…"
But Ramish wasn't going to listen.
Richer stepped closer,
"Now I'll show you the real fun of water!"
He tried to grab him,
but Ramish stepped back playfully to avoid him.
Still, Richer caught him from behind
and spun him around.
Water splashed around their feet,
and both of them were filled with uncontrollable laughter.
Just then, a guard called out,
"You're not allowed to play like this here!"
Both of them laughed
and quickly stepped out.
Richer smiled and asked,
"Will you come again with me?"
Ramish shook his head.
"No… you go.
I'll watch you."
Richer smiled,
"Alright…"
Ramish sat at the edge of the pool,
his feet dipped in the water.
Richer kept taking the slide again and again,
and every time he looked toward Ramish,
gesturing like a winner.
Ramish's eyes remained fixed on him,
watching him quietly with a soft smile.
After a while,
Richer walking back through in the water,
rested his arms on Ramish's legs,
and asked with curiosity,
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
Ramish leaned slightly closer and said softly,
"You look so beautiful… even soaked in water.
My eyes just don't want to look away from you."
Richer smiled and replied,
"Then who's asking you to look away?"
Ramish blushed slightly
and gently kissed his forehead.
Richer asked,
"Shall we go to another slide?"
Ramish smiled and said,
"Yes… of course…"
Richer smiled and said,
"Ramish… come on, Then let's try the Dawamma slide now."
Ramish replied with a faint smile,
"Wasn't that last slide enough that I took with you?"
Richer teased,
"Did you feel scared on that slide?"
Ramish blinked lightly and said,
"No… not at all."
Richer smiled.
"Then that's perfect…
Live these moments freely with me
and defeat your fear."
Ramish nodded with a soft smile.
They climbed the stairs and reached the top,
where the slide looked even taller and more intimidating.
As soon as Ramish stood at the edge,
his heart began to pound rapidly.
The fear was clearly visible on his face.
Seeing his expression, Richer smiled and pulled him into his arms.
"Sometimes, we have to face our fears
so we can overcome what's inside us."
Ramish held him tightly and said,
"Richer… this is very fast… and these tunnels more look scary than first tunnels…"
Richer stepped back slightly,
kissed his forehead gently, and asked,
"Are you still scared?"
Ramish nodded,
then playfully leaned his cheek forward.
Richer smiled at his gesture
and softly kissed his cheek.
"And now?"
Ramish said,
"Still…"
and offered his other cheek.
Richer laughed and kissed that one too.
"Now the fear must be gone, right?"
Ramish smiled faintly,
"Just… a little bit left…"
and then he teasingly leaned his lips forward.
Richer quickly glanced around and laughed,
"Everyone is watching us…"
Ramish wrapped his arms around him.
"Don't you want me to become fearless?"
Richer smiled
and suddenly leaned in, kissing his lips—
then quickly pulled back.
People around them started cheering and whistling.
Blushing slightly, Richer smiled and asked,
"So… what about your fear now?"
Ramish smiled,
"Now there's no fear…"
But as soon as he looked at the slide again,
his smile faded slightly.
Richer looked into his eyes and said,
"Trust me…"
Ramish nodded quietly.
A six-person tube arrived,
with four people already seated.
Richer held Ramish's hand,
helped him sit in the tube,
and then sat beside him, gripping his hand firmly.
The very next moment,
the tube rushed downward at high speed—
spinning like it was caught in a whirlpool.
It turned sharply from one side to another,
then plunged into a dark tunnel.
People were screaming with excitement,
but the color draining from Ramish's face
made Richer worried.
Richer shouted,
"Ramish! Trust me…
nothing will happen to you… we can do this!"
Then he said,
"Scream with me!"
Both of them began shouting loudly,
and slowly, Ramish's fear started to fade.
A faint smile returned to his face.
Suddenly, the tube entered its final phase,
diving into a deeper tunnel,
where the roaring sound of water made it even more intense.
Ramish's breathing grew heavy,
his hands trembling with fear.
He immediately wrapped his arms tightly around Richer.
Moments later,
the tube shot out of the tunnel and reached the bottom,
but Ramish was still clinging to him.
The people sitting with them laughed and said,
"We're down now… you can let go!"
Richer smiled gently and said,
"See? You did it.
We've reached the bottom."
Ramish slowly pulled back,
though his body was still trembling.
Richer held his hand
and helped him step out of the tube.
Once outside, he made Ramish sit to the side
and pulled him close with care.
"It's okay… relax."
Then, smiling softly, he asked,
"How was it?"
Ramish took a deep breath and said,
"It was good…
but… very scary too…"
And on his face,
a beautiful mix of fear and happiness
was clearly visible.
