The moment Paul asked the question, everyone—Erica, Susan, Saul, Pamela, Silas, Ashley, Josie, and Elena—turned their heads toward the Audi RS7 parked quietly at the front of the Shen Palace.
"Isn't she out yet?" Ashton asked in disbelief while raising his eyebrows.
"I guess so," Ashley answered softly.
"What?!" Josie gasped.
"What is she still doing inside the car?" Ashton muttered to himself.
Josie, with her sharp ears, heard what Ashton muttered and answered him while saying, "Ashton, I think she's worn out and too tired to come out."
Ashton rolled his eyes, hissed, and walked up to the Audi.
He tapped his knuckles lightly on the window and said, "Rachel, you've been sitting in my car for too long, and you didn't even bother to turn off the radio or the engine... Aren't you going to come out?"
"Rachel!" He called gently at first, then again with more urgency: "Rachel!"
But there was no reply.
He called again and again, but still no reply.
