The Rise of the Silent Hammer
Deep in the industrial depths of Edenfall, an ancient smelting plant begins to rumble once more. There, the mafia-dominated Yukairo clan , known for their fighting techniques with living metal, have re-emerged after decades in hiding. Their leader, Kravic Yukairo , emerges wielding a massive hammer forged from blood-burnished steel. Kravic declares open war on all clans that refuse to submit to his new metal order.
The Fracture of the Shadow Accords
The leaders of the mafia clans not yet subdued gather in a neutral zone known as the Echo Chamber. There, under the shadow of the non-aggression pact, it is decided who will confront the Yukairo. Akihiko and Lirea are voted unanimously to lead the counteroffensive. However, a crack appears in the pact: a minor clan, the Drahven , has secretly allied with Kravic.
III. The Battle of the Iron Crossing
Akihiko, accompanied by Kazuto and Lirea, ambush a Yukairo's wagon train transporting live weapons. A fight breaks out. Kazuto, using his kinetic fusion ability, destroys the wagons, but is ambushed by Irena Yukairo , Kravic's younger sister, who wields steel blades that can change shape at will. The fight leaves Kazuto critically injured.
The Resistance of the Black Smoke
While Kazuto is taken to the rear, Akihiko confronts Irena with his Void. The Sands of Oblivion technique nearly consumes her, but she manages to dodge it using a liquid steel mirror that reflects part of the attack. Lirea intervenes with her Resonance and they manage to repel it, although Irena escapes with serious injuries.
The Kravic Trial
The chapter takes a turn with Kravic's arrival at the Drahven foundry, where he executes their leader for weakness, fusing him with molten steel in a ritual called the Traitor's Forge . Kravic reinforces his position as a ruthless tyrant. His followers hail him as the new "Forged King."
The Hammer and the Void Plan
In Edenfall, Akihiko summons his remaining allies. Lirea, Sael, Naeya, and other important supporting characters discuss the new threat. A plan emerges: infiltrate the smelting plant and destroy the Foundation Anchor , a central structure that fuels Kravic's powers through energy lines of blood and metal.
VII. The Awakening of the Sword of Smoke
During a nighttime meeting, Akihiko is visited in his dreams by a spectral figure: Kael , his alter ego from the past seen in previous chapters. Kael symbolically gives him the Smoke Sword , a weapon born from the conflict between identity and memory. When he awakens, the weapon has been created by the Void in his hand.
VIII. Road to the Forbidden Forge
The team splits up: Lirea and Naeya advance through the sewer tunnels; Akihiko and Sael advance through the city's old railway line. They encounter resistance from Yukairo mechanized soldiers. The fights are brutal. Sael uses his distortion field to alter his enemies' perception of time, leaving them vulnerable.
The Reverse Steel Trap
When they reach the entrance to the plant, they are ambushed. Kravic had anticipated their arrival. A reversible steel field traps Akihiko, who begins to slowly compress. Sael sacrifices himself to free Akihiko, becoming trapped in the structure while the others flee.
Silence of the Blood Sidewalk
The episode closes with Akihiko vowing to rescue Sael as he surveys the city from a rainy rooftop. Kravic, from his iron throne, declares that the Age of Void is over . But among the rubble, the Smoke Blade pulses.
