David helped me rise to my feet, and I walked toward the prince in the wooden chair and removed the black helmet around his head along with the wires.
The prince's eyes remained closed.
I waited for a few seconds, then the prince's eyes opened wide. His red eyes bored into mine with intensity.
My heart raced.
"I'm hungry."
The prince said in a low, raspy voice, his gaze turning to my neck. Although I don't do this, for some reason, I offered, "Do you want to drink my blood?"
The prince moved back to my eyes and asked calmly, "Yes, but are you sure? This is different, for I am very hungry, and I might accidentally kill you."
With a deep sigh, I turned to David. "Please step out."
David looked on with curious eyes, but he knew he needed to give them a private moment. Thus, he stepped out of the room.
When the sound of the door closing came, I turned back to the prince and slowly removed my robe down my shoulders.
