Since obtaining the Millennium Blade, Naruto had never seen it transform into any other form. There must be a reason for this.
"Right?" B slapped Naruto on the shoulder, grinning as he spoke. "The Yin-Yang Release allowed the Sage of Six Paths to create entire worlds—so why not use it to change your sword too?"
As he spoke, B jumped up from his seat on the deck, gesturing energetically. "Snap out of it! Don't waste that power!"
B's rhythmic rhymes always managed to energize Naruto. Excitedly, he bumped fists with B, only then realizing what he had just done.
"Damn it... This feeling—this could actually work!"
Frustrated that he'd possessed such incredible power without knowing how to use it, Naruto grew increasingly eager.
Although each transformation would consume chakra, he was an Uzumaki descendant, blessed with immense vitality—he could definitely handle it.
B grinned and motioned for Naruto to go ahead.
"So... let's see what else this beauty can turn into, you bastard!"
Naruto solemnly nodded, slowly drawing the Millennium Blade from its sheath.
"This is it," he said, pointing the blade directly at B. "You want me to turn it into the Millennium Knuckle Gloves again?"
"Damn it! I already heard about that one from Bee and Big Bro A! Show me something new!" B shouted back.
Something new? What kind of new form? Sure, they had talked about this before, but now, suddenly challenged by B, Naruto found himself at a loss.
What if the first form he thought of turned out to be useless in real battle?
Hmm… Other than the Millennium Knuckle Gloves, the one he wanted most was the form that helped tear apart Sasori's weapons amidst the ruins of Itachi's hideout.
But beyond that, there wasn't anything specific Naruto particularly desired. He loved close-range combat—that was probably why the sword transformed into forms suited for taijutsu and boosted his speed.
"Unidentified ship off the port side!"
When the lookout shouted, everyone rushed to the port side of the deck. An enormous warship was approaching from the side.
Their ship was a standard transport—not built for combat.
While this type of ship proved useful outside the Land of Water, compared to a true warship, it was utterly defenseless.
However, after several minutes, the mysterious ship didn't approach. It simply stopped at a distance, seemingly observing them.
B pushed forward through the crowd first, trying to get a better view, with Naruto right behind him.
Shading his eyes with his hand, B studied the distant ship carefully, his brow slowly furrowing. "It's just one ship. Nothing to worry about—even though we're riding a transport..."
Maybe that's exactly why the ship hadn't approached yet?
They clearly had superior numbers and were probably assessing our ship.
Maybe once the would-be pirates realized they were ninja from Kumogakure, they thought better of attacking?
Pirates were often smarter than people gave them credit for.
Some of them may be ruthless, but such a harsh life had also sharpened their survival instincts.
After all, it would be too hasty to completely distrust someone just because they're merciless pirates without honor, just as you shouldn't judge a ninja by appearance alone.
"Someone's coming off the ship!"
Only one person? Is he coming in a lifeboat or something? What does he want? Doesn't he know that if he doesn't surrender, he'll gain nothing? And even if he does surrender, he might end up imprisoned for life or executed.
Naruto narrowed his eyes, concentrating as he secretly activated his Sharingan.
With the Sharingan, he could clearly see that the figure wasn't on any boat at all—he was walking across the water's surface! He's a ninja!
It was a man with long white hair, clad in a purple robe, carrying a massive cleaver sword on his back. Wait—could that really be the Cleaver Sword? Didn't Maki and Sai give that blade to Jugo a few months ago? Why is it here now?
******
"It should be about time now," Suigetsu said, steadily walking forward across the ocean surface toward the Kumogakure ship. "Karin said Naruto's on that boat."
He still remembered Karin saying there was another person aboard with extremely strong chakra—likely a jinchuriki.
"Well then, let's put on a show."
A sly grin spread across Suigetsu's face as he sealed his large cleaver sword into a scroll before releasing another sword from its seal.
"That kid Jugo doesn't even know how to use this sword properly; only my brother truly deserved to wield it. Of course, I can still make great use of it too."
It was an unusual double-edged sword shaped like a fish—it fit perfectly in his grip.
[Hiramekarei, let's stir up some chaos! Released Form of Hiramekarei!]
Infused with chakra, Hiramekarei's blade instantly expanded to a size comparable to the ship itself, absorbing surrounding seawater like a mighty blade wielded by a sea god.
Suigetsu swung the enormous blade effortlessly, slashing straight toward the Kumogakure ship. It wasn't necessarily the most efficient way to destroy the ship, but it was definitely more entertaining than flooding it with waves.
"Crack!"
Suigetsu clearly heard the sound of the ship breaking. He smirked in satisfaction, releasing Hiramekarei's enhanced form to admire his handiwork.
However, instead of sinking, the ship wobbled on the waves like a bathtub toy.
"Tch, how the hell did they reinforce this hull?"
"Suigetsu, watch out below!"
Just then, Karin shouted from afar.
Startled, Suigetsu immediately turned his body into liquid, barely dodging eight massive octopus tentacles.
Immediately afterward, a tall figure leaped out from beneath the water's surface—it was B, the Eight-Tails jinchuriki!
"What the hell?!"
Suigetsu reformed himself not far away, seemingly unfazed by B's appearance.
"So it's you again? Where's Naruto? Did he drown or something?"
"We were after him, not you... unless of course you wanna end up like him."
B was initially tempted to draw all seven Legendary Swords of the Mist strapped across his back to put this cocky punk in his place, but he held himself back in the end.
"You're here looking for the Nine-Tails?" he asked. "Fine, go ahead, but let me warn ya—if he kicks your ass, don't come whining to me."
"Great!" Suigetsu grinned, showing off his razor-sharp, shark-like teeth. "Where is he?"
"He's not hiding, idiot!"
"Then what's he doing?" Suigetsu asked, confused.
He paused, then suddenly facepalmed, liquefied himself and melted into a puddle, then rushed back to his ship.
"Jugo! Kataro! Prepare for battle!"
Kataro quickly unsheathed his curved sword and bellowed,
"Snap out of it! Don't be such a wimp—there's only one ninja over there!"
