Chapter 125 - Chapter 126: Master-Level Charms.

  By the time Damon left

In Dumbledore's office, they reached a consensus.

He quietly returned to the Room of Requirement, ready to undertake a momentous task.

Just now, his magic power index had officially reached 1,000,000 points.

This meant he could add another point.

His gaze lingered on two branches.

  Charms - Level 4 (Expert) 1/1,000,000

[You quickly master magic, gaining exceptional control over your body and mind. Advanced spells become easy for you.]

  Transfiguration - Level 4 (Expert) 1/1,000,000

[Your understanding of Transfiguration is superior. You can quickly master complex, advanced transformations, and achieve even finer manipulation of transformed objects.]

Should he add Charms or Transfiguration?

His expertise allowed him to learn both quickly and easily. If he had to choose one for further improvement,

, Damon pondered for a moment and decided to prioritize Charms.

The reason was simple: he desired to become more versatile. Transfiguration could only enhance his dueling abilities. While it could handle a wide range of complex situations in combat, it was far less versatile than spells in ordinary situations.

Silent casting, wandless magic, Expected Patronuses, and Apparition are all branches of Charms.

Mastering these first was far safer than delving deeper into Transfiguration.

  Well then.

Now that the decision had been made, there was no need to hesitate.

As he invested one million magic points, the text on the panel changed.

  Charms - Level 5 (Master) Max/Max

[You can advance to the pinnacle of Charms without any barriers. All other spells are but scenery on your journey.]

Daemon closed his eyes, and the spells he had learned in the past emerged clearly in his mind. Flashing back, among these countless spells, three original spells finally shone brightly.

  Incantatio Microcosmica,

  Ordinatio Magica,

  and

  Sagitta Divinus—

His original killing curse came from a flash of inspiration after repeatedly practicing the Levitation Charm in the Room of Requirement.

While the Sagitta Divinus was undoubtedly among the most destructive, it still lacked versatility (range, duration, and special effects).

For example, Grindelwald's Fiery Blaze, generated through a continuous stream of Fiery Blaze, could destroy the entirety of London in a single blow. However, his Sagitta Divinus, however powerful, only covered a small area and lacked the ability to sustain a sustained attack.

Now, he had many more creative and practical ideas for improving this spell.

For example, he could enchant the Sagitta Divinus with various effects—like a magic-breaking effect that could penetrate the Ironclad Charm, a bleed-inducing effect that prevented wounds from healing, or a twin-spear effect that could split.

Or perhaps he could combine Transfiguration and the Divine Spear to create even more creative possibilities. Ideas and inspirations kept popping up, and Damon casually jotted them down in his notebook with his magic quill, ready to realize them one by one.

Damon raised his wand and was about to chant when a strange feeling struck him: now he should be able to cast spells silently. The intense white light of

  the Divine Spear (Sagitta Divinus-Dispello)

transformed into a tailless arrow. Condensed magic power converged and surged before Damon, and then, a hazy yellow halo gradually stained the front of the white light. This light enveloped the entire tip of the arrow, and for a moment, the entire room was a cacophony of yellow and white.

Damon closed his eyes, grasping the momentary inspiration, committing the feeling to memory.

  Then, he unleashed an arrow!

  "Swish!"

The yellow-white light instantly pierced the armor spell surrounding the training puppet, piercing through the protective shield like a thin membrane, instantly shattering the puppet.

Damon nodded, quite satisfied with the result.

He had just finished adding points, and his entire state was in a state of intense sensitivity, like a blocked nose suddenly cleared. Every sensation was so new and intense.

With accumulated experience, he had just developed this extremely difficult spell variation in one go.

Seizing this feeling, he then realized the remaining ideas one by one:

  Split, Invisibility, Bleeding, Unlimited Attack.

For a moment, the entire Hogwarts castle seemed to tremble subtly. This subtle tremor, imperceptible to the students, brought a bewildered look to the professors' faces.

Dumbledore almost thought the basilisk had been unleashed and was wreaking havoc within the castle.

But when he followed the faint trail of magic, it ultimately led him to the Room of Requirement.

"Has he made another major discovery?"

Dumbledore didn't enter, but he already knew who it was. Besides the gifted student who constantly brought him surprises and hidden worries, who else could achieve such a feat?

Honestly, Dumbledore had no idea where to begin with Damon. He had assumed that Caliban Mortos would need at least three years of training to become an Auror, and even longer to become a star.

By then, he might have the time and energy to address this matter.

However, Damon's progress was far too rapid. More and more people, like himself, were giving him easy access—while this was understandable, the results were becoming increasingly alarming.

He had won over the other Aurors in just two months. His assistant, Kingsley, already a seasoned Auror, had practically become Mortos's vassal.

Under Kingsley's recommendation, Damon was getting to know and win over. Dumbledore hesitated to use the word "win," but he felt that this change had clear signs.

If Damon were to control most of the Aurors, combined with his exceptional talent and fighting prowess, if he wanted to launch a coup or war, who else but himself could stop him?

Was he going to watch helplessly as things escalated to that point?

Compared to this matter, Dumbledore even felt that the current Basilisk incident had become somewhat insignificant.

However, Voldemort's matter was equally important.

Did he really want to come into conflict with his students before he had dealt with his formidable enemy?

Dumbledore returned to his office and sat at his desk, unable to decide.

All the portraits of the headmasters observed his hesitation, but no one spoke without authorization.

  "Ah,"

  The old man sighed deeply.

He thought of how Tom had almost figured out everything after Damon and the others had told him about the Basilisk.

Myrtle was killed by the Basilisk, likely released by young Voldemort, who spoke Parseltongue.

He had disguised himself so well.

But precisely because of this, he could not let the same thing happen again!
