The endless, desolate expanse was covered in countless pale skeletons, seemingly inexhaustible, constantly crawling from the frozen lake.
At the center of this army of the dead stood a towering ice throne; nearby, a raging inferno of hellfire burned.
Archer's decision to imbue his Noble Phantasms with fire was a wise one. While the frost's influence persisted, no more Noble Phantasms were instantly frozen.
The enormous bone dragon circled the throne, its wings spread, seemingly searching for an opening to attack Archer.
"Enough already. Is this all you've got? Utterly pathetic!"
The rain of Noble Phantasms continued for so long that even Archer grew bored. These skeleton soldiers were incredibly weak; aside from the initial bone dragon, Arthas's Bounded Field posed no real threat to Archer.
"I'm bored, Kirei. Use a Command Seal to replenish my magical energy!"
Unwilling to continue this pointless fight against weak skeleton soldiers, Archer considered battling these pathetic creatures beneath his dignity as a King.
He directly ordered Kirei Kotomine to use a Command Seal to replenish his magical energy, intending to unleash Ea again, obliterating these annoyances and the Bounded Field itself.
Kirei Kotomine, meanwhile, listened intently to the Servant battles outside the Civic Center while continuing his infiltration mission.
He was completely confident in Archer's ability to handle multiple Servants; before such a King, the number of enemies was irrelevant.
As long as he unleashed that ultimate Noble Phantasm…
Kirei Kotomine thought this, and soon received Archer's order for magical energy replenishment.
He was slightly surprised; this implied that Archer had already used Ea, hadn't achieved a complete victory, and was now facing an enemy troublesome enough to warrant another use of Ea.
"Are Saber and Berserker really that strong?"
Muttering to himself, Kirei Kotomine unhesitatingly used a Command Seal. He had inherited a considerable number of Command Seals from his father, enough to use liberally.
This was the underground first floor of the Civic Center… the large prop warehouse beneath the stage.
Kiritsugu Emiya, having lost his Servant and lacking any support, moved cautiously. Above him, Servants were engaged in a desperate battle—a conflict far beyond his comprehension as a human.
His only option was to infiltrate while the Servants fought, to get closer to the Grail.
In the dim light, Kiritsugu Emiya halted. Before him stood a tall figure in priestly robes.
Kirei Kotomine, the man he considered his destined enemy in this Grail War.
Kirei Kotomine also noticed Kiritsugu Emiya and stopped.
The light from the Black Key in his hand reflected off the magical spear.
Both sensed the killing intent; both were prepared for a deadly confrontation.
No further words were needed.
They finally met each other's gaze, both reaching the same conclusion.
For Kiritsugu Emiya, this war was…
For Kirei Kotomine, the entire Fuyuki battlefield was…
Everything existed solely to defeat the enemy before them.
Command Seals were an incredible miracle, the strongest weapon granted to Masters, connected to the Greater Grail.
Their existence ensured Masters didn't need to worry about disobedient Servants and allowed them to enhance their Servants' combat capabilities as needed.
While not omnipotent—for example, Waver's wish for Rider's victory and Grail acquisition wasn't fulfilled—Command Seals were virtually limitless in certain areas.
Replenishing a Servant's depleted magical energy or healing their wounds, for instance, was almost instantaneous.
After Kirei Kotomine used a Command Seal to replenish Archer's magical energy, Archer almost instantly felt a surge of power coursing through him, causing him to stretch with a satisfied sigh.
"Excellent, the game is over. Consider yourselves honored to witness this supreme glory twice!"
The Kingly Treasures ceased firing; the cleared space was almost instantly refilled. Archer looked down with disdain upon the mindless, endlessly attacking skeleton soldiers, retrieving Ea from his treasury.
Even Ea's light was insurmountable; the fragile skeleton soldiers disintegrated into dust under the divine brilliance of the Separated Sword.
The bone dragon circling the ice throne shifted restlessly, its head lowered in a warning roar, but even it dared not approach Archer, or that light.
"Die, trash, 'Heaven's Severing, Earth's Cleaving, Opening Star'!"
Once again proudly proclaiming his Noble Phantasm's name, a blinding torrent of light filled the world, reducing everything in its path to nothingness.
Archer's crimson eyes coldly surveyed the pure white world, consumed by the blinding light. No trace of deathly energy remained; Archer was certain all undead creatures had been annihilated.
"Trash is trash, no matter how numerous. It's ultimately meaningless."
Archer said cruelly, his crimson eyes blazing. While using Ea twice in a single day placed a considerable strain on his body, it didn't matter; the enemy was eliminated.
After all, this was the final battle of the Holy Grail War; a spectacular finale wasn't so bad.
However, Archer soon sensed something was wrong. Although the presence of the undead had vanished, the intense cold showed no sign of abating.
"What the hell… this Bounded Field hasn't been broken?! I'm still trapped in this damn thing?!"
