Kieran is barely baffled by his outburst. He states that clearly Emerald didn't believe that. He turns to leave and tells Rick he'd dug his own grave and it was time to lay in it. Rick shouts for him to come back and face him but Kieran doesn't turn back. On his way out he orders strict patrol and security for Rick's cell.
Emerald returns to the pack and receives a warm welcome from not just Darius and Nessa but the entire pack along with her newly established Alpha Queen Court. She's surprised by the welcome. The people cheer and praise her actions in stopping what could have been a huge war. Being back home fills her with a sense of warmth as she'd almost forgotten what it was like to lead her own people and put smiles on their faces.
