"Because I don't want to," Jin said firmly.
"Oh." Eve looked genuinely perplexed, as if this possibility had never occurred to her. "But... it's for saving humanity. Don't you want to save humanity?"
"Of course I do, but not like that."
"Hmm." Eve tapped her pen against her chin, thinking. "This is a problem. I'll need to change my plan. Maybe show off my special powers? Or show how I'm better than everyone else?" She perked up. "I could fight some of those mutated creatures outside! That would show how useful I am! Would that make you more interested in having babies with me?"
Jin just stared at her, completely at a loss for words.
