MILITARY AND SCOUT RANKINGS

After graduating from the Central Academy or affiliated branch academies, cadets are posted across the empire.

Their roles span from court servants to frontline defenders of their cities, often assigned to Imperial Palaces or stationed at walls guarding against beast threats.

RANKING TIERS

Each rank is further broken into five categories, identified by badge colors and metals worn on the chest or arm:

Bronze – Beginner Level

Silver – Intermediate/Field-Proven

Gold – Veteran/Elite

Platinum – High Command/Exceptional

Legendary (Obsidian-Black) – Reserved for the exceptional (often hidden or honorary)

Badges bear an emblem representing the cadet's clan or function, overlaid with colored plating that marks their tier.

Rank I – Initiate

Bronze to Silver only

Undergoing training. No missions.

Badge: Plain circular plate with academy emblem, and RI engraved on the plate.

Rank II – Scout Cadet

Bronze to Gold

First deployments, guided missions.

Badge: Shield with sword-crossed emblem, RII.

Rank III – Field Operative

Silver to Platinum

Independent missions allowed.

Badge: Spear-and-helmet crest, marking combat clearance, RIII

Rank IV – Squad Leader

Gold to Platinum

Leads squads (4–6 cadets). Combat strategy and leadership tested.

Badge: Engraved gauntlet and crown insignia, RIV

Rank V – Vanguard Officer

Gold to Obsidian

Operates in high-threat zones. Handles assassination, beast command, rogue suppression.

Badge: Crescent blade over phoenix wings, RV

Rank VI – Imperial Court Member

Platinum only

Directly serves in royal palaces. Often works closely with nobles or military commanders.

Badge: Ornate insignia with gemstone crest (each palace has a unique gem color), RVI.

Rank VII – ACE (Trump Card)

Obsidian-Black Only – One of Eight

Hybrids with Titan bloodline. Shape-shifters. Operate at continental level.

Badge: Onyx-black embedded sigil with shifting silver light, RVII

Rank Tiers (Student-Level)

Cadet (F) – Entry-level trainee. Allowed basic wooden weapons and gear.

Initiate (E) – Undergoes mobility enhancement and tactical simulation.

Stryker (D) – Learns aerial movement and beast detection protocols.

Vanguard (C) – Assigned to minor border scouting and surveillance.

Howler (B) – Authorized to lead team operations in beast-zones.

Reaver (A) – High-value operative with clearance for hybrid-class encounters.

Phantom (S) – System-flagged anomaly, considered a threat or wildcard.

BEAST CLASSIFICATION RANKS

Beasts are ranked by size, threat, and mutation level. Scouts often specialize in slaying or studying specific tiers.

Feral-Class (I) – Small, dog-sized. Quick, aggressive. Common in outer zones.

Strider-Class (II) – Human to horse-sized. Found near city outskirts.

Howler-Class (III) – Large predators, often in packs. Intermediate-level missions.

Breaker-Class (IV) – House-sized threats. Often need coordinated squads.

Tyrant-Class (V) – Castle-sized monstrosities. Controlled by rare hybrids or bloodlines.

Nightmare-Class (VI) – Myth-level threats. Appear once in decades. Cause mass evacuation.

Note: The Aces are often deployed only for Tyrant and Nightmare-class incursions.
