In Nikki's room
Nikki was lying on his bed.
Nikki's pov - '' To do their dirty works.'' "You owe them." " Low class family." Now that I think about it getting a scholarship there was easy. I never thought about going there, I was suggested to do so. 10 scholarship students. Do everything she said makes.... sense?
Nikki - About that company.
After sometime
Nikki - (Surfing on internet) Oh Yunji, Park Yeonjun, Kim Junho these people are graduates from my highschool. They are currently working well in CR company. Looking at their Instagram they look quite normal like how any other employees will be. Hmm but I need a background check on them. (Thinking)
In school
Junhee - (Walking on basketball court)
Nikki - Hey
Junhee - (Turns around)
Nikki - Can I have a word with you?
Junhee - (Exciting smile) Sure
Nikki's pov - Huh? She isn't smirking instead she looks genuinely happy. Did she waited for me to talk to her? Well it's not like I mind but it's quite unusual of her.
Nikki - Ok so lets sit over there.
Junhee - (Nods)
Nikki's pov - She is still smiling. I never knew she can smile like that.
After sometime they both sat on a nearby bench.
Nikki - So
Junhee - (Looks at him hopefully)
Nikki - (Gulps) So ... the things you said.
How did you able to know about them yourself.
Junhee - I told you, dad was on this mission.
Nikki - Then why did he quit?
Junhee - Because someone in his team betrayed him.
Nikki - What? That stung.
Junhee - I know, I am sorry I cannot get into details for now.
Nikki - That's fine afterall you'll tell me about it eventually.
Junhee - Huh?
Nikki - Unfolding the reality of CR enterprises that's our mission right. I'll do it.
Junhee - What? Really?
Nikki - Yes, Afterall I have to pay fees to my late uncle and....
Junhee - And?
Nikki - Nevermind. So what do we have to do?
Junhee - I'll tell you about it tomorrow but can I know what made you get a change of heart?
Nikki - Sympathy.
Junhee - Sympathy?
Nikki - (Smile) let's meet tomorrow right here at this time only. Alright, see you then.
Junhee - Yeah see you.
Flashback
In class
Nikki - I didn't able to do my breakfast today. Hey wanna grab some bread and milk with me.
Jay - I am fine you go ahead.
Nikki - Umm ok.
Jay - Wait
Nikki - Yes?
Jay - Did you saw Jin-soo today?
Nikki - No, I mean I didn't saw Nam-su so?
Jay - Can you please stop mentioning his name with Jin-soo? (Pissed) Jin-soo have his own identity ok.
Nikki - Woah man, calm down there. Sorry if I offended you in any way but I just said that because Jin-soo and Nam-su are always together.
Jay - Jin-soo have to be with him. He have no other choice.
Nikki - Why?
Jay - You don't know that Jin-soo is adopted in Kim family means in Nam-su's family?
Nikki - WHAT, I thought Jin-soo is Nam-su's cousin who lives in Kims house for his studies.
Jay - Well this made up thing seems true when you look at their relation but no Jin-soo was accepted in that family at the age of 5 to take care of Nam-su.
Nikki - Take care? What does that mean?
Jay - Nam-su comes from a very prosperous family his mom is the director of future heights highschool and dad is the CEO of CR enterprises. I have heard that his grandfather was also a businessman and most of his family members are in a high paid jobs. Nam-su's father's some far cousin is a cloud architect so it make sense that this family have no time to take care of a child that's why Nam-su was always in the care of his house maids and specially Jin-soo.
Nikki - So what will happen of Jin-soo after becoming an adult.
Jay - He is going to be the secretary or P.A of the CEO of CR enterprises and ofcourse the CEO position is reserved for Nam-su.
Nikki - Jin-soo don't will really get a chance to live as he wish even after becoming an adult?
Jay - Right and that thing pisses me off. I mean you took his childhood and teen years now atleast let him have his adulthood. Damn and he also cannot deny because
Nikki - He owe them.
Jay - Oh well yeah but I mean it will be a matter of life and death to go against them.
After 30 seconds of silence
Nikki - Jay do you want to save him?
Jay - (Chuckle) Is that even a question? Ofcourse man.
Nikki - Ok fine.
Jay - Ok? What fine?
After saying his last two words Nikki went from there.
Jay - W-What? Where you going? HEY (Shouting)
Nikki's pov - CR company, School director, Gang activities under a corporate mask. They didn't even left a child. So whatever Junhee said was true and here I - damn. Alright Jay I'll do this for you atleast, afterall it's just not you. I have so many reasons now to do this mission.
In Jin-soo's room
Jin-soo was holding onto a strawberry milk bottle which is empty and he was staring at it like his life depends on it. Sitting on his study table chair thinking about his one only good memory from childhood.
Jin-soo - Whenever I think about any other memory of my childhood in orphanage most of it is vague but then why you appear very crystal clear in my memories. It's like you are the only thing I remember or you are the only thing I want to remember.
Jin-soo went silent and tightly hold that bottle close to his chest. A tear rolled down from his eyes.
Jin-soo - Sorry I cannot fulfill my promise. I am really is so much craven in doing something right. (Burst into tears)
Next day
Nikki - So what do we have to do first.
Junhee - Yun Gamin, Lim Sahee and Jang Hayoon. Three students from those Ten.
Nikki - Oh so do we have to pursue them.
Junhee - Yes but not in a way that is obvious. We need to keep our goal confidential. We need to be comouflage with them.
Nikki - Ok , we need to take some information out of them right.
Junhee - Yes also get to know much and much about their background also about their private lives.
Nikki - Ok I'll try to dig as much as information I can.
Junhee - Lim sahee is in 1-2 your class and the other two are in 1-1 Nam-su's class.
Nikki - Oh
Junhee - I'll approach the other two. You focus on her.
Nikki - No let's switch.
Junhee - But you-
Nikki - I don't think there is any reason for me left to avoid him.
Junhee - Ok but atleast be circumvent that would be better for now.
Nikki - Alright I'll keep that in mind.
Junhee - So about Yun Gamin and Jang Hayoon are quite a bit of acquaintances so you can get in friend group with them. Yun Gamin do archery and aiming to go to National Police university and Jang Hayoon is in the drama club, she is aiming for Seoul Institute of the arts. Yun Gamin is a calm person and have a brusque way of speaking it's not much rude but it depends on the listener and Jang Hayoon is a childish with clumsy nature and also she talks laquaciously, pursuing her would be a bit easy as compared to Yun Gamin.
Nikki - Ok don't worry about it I'll do my best.
Junhee - Ok so here after our mission begins after 2 weeks let's see how much progress we made. For now let's exchange numbers.
Nikki - Sure
Junhee - And I hope you won't act timid anymore.
Nikki - Ofcourse I will be my true self from here on.
Junhee - Glad to hear that (Forwards her hand for a handshake) All the best.
Nikki - You too, do well.
