Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: My Master is the Sorcerer Supreme

Although Harry was a kind-hearted child, and even growing up in a harsh environment hadn't twisted his innate goodness, witnessing the murder of the kind-hearted Uncle Ben still filled him with deep-seated killing intent, he wanted to kill that villain!

He couldn't bear the fact that the kind Uncle Ben had been killed, couldn't bear the loss of such rare kindness, and most of all, couldn't bear that his own actions had led to the death of a genuinely good man.

So, the magic inside him went out of control. Under the influence of this rampaging magic, an unstoppable urge to kill arose.

Because he was young, his killing intent was pure. So, without hesitation, Harry killed the villain before him!

A black fluid instantly engulfed the villain. The magic that had arrived in this world seemed to have undergone an incredible mutation. Even in its raw form, without any enhancement from magical arrays, it could unleash unimaginable power!

At that moment, Harry wanted nothing more than for the villain before him to disappear, so he did!

His body petrified, then crumbled bit by bit, turning to ashes without leaving even a trace behind!

After killing the villain, the malice in Harry's heart faded considerably. Remembering something, he immediately rushed toward Uncle Ben, who had collapsed on the ground.

The beautiful woman was kneeling, holding Uncle Ben in a daze.

Instinctively, Harry tried to manipulate the black substance to heal Uncle Ben's wounds. But as soon as the black substance surged forth, he noticed a maple leaf floating motionlessly before his eyes.

Time had suddenly stopped!

Harry looked around in shock. The teardrops falling from the beautiful woman's eyes, the dust lifted by the wind, the fluttering hems of the fleeing pedestrians' clothes, and the crimson blood dripping from Uncle Ben's abdomen, everything was frozen in place, like flies trapped in amber.

At this moment, it was as if the world had forgotten him. Only he could move freely!

Suddenly, Harry heard the sound of sparks crackling behind him.

He turned and saw a golden, sparking portal form instantly. A bald, kindly "elderly" woman in yellow monastic robes stepped out.

Yes, an elderly woman.

Even though this "elderly" woman appeared to be only around thirty years old, looking at her felt like gazing at a brilliant sun.

She was radiant, warm, bright, and gave off a comforting presence, yet she was already in her twilight years.

The "elderly" woman looked at Harry with gentle, benevolent eyes and said:

"You mustn't do that. The magic inside you has just awakened, it's too powerful and chaotic. Not only would it fail to heal his wounds, it would harm him further."

After witnessing such a miraculous scene, Harry realized he had finally encountered the wizard he had always wanted to meet.

But at this moment, he had no desire to learn magic and use it to teach Dudley a lesson. All he felt was boundless panic:

"Are you a wizard? Please, save Uncle Ben, he's a good man, he shouldn't die like this!

Please save him, please save him!"

Ancient One looked at the boy, who was around ten years old, and let out a deep sigh of relief.

She had sensed this boy the moment he arrived in this world.

At first, she thought he was just an ordinary person and paid him no mind.

But when the magic inside the boy erupted, even she who had lived for nearly a thousand years was astonished by the power he wielded!

That dark, formidable magic, though slightly different in nature, was undoubtedly Chaos Magic!

Chaos Magic could alter reality at will, it was an incredibly powerful form of magic. What shocked Ancient One the most was that the magic inside this boy wasn't borrowed.

It was his own innate power, and it was still growing stronger with time!

This meant the boy could wield magic without paying a price.

It meant he had the potential to create his own dimension, to become a dimensional demon!

At first, she thought someone wielding such dark magic must be cruel and ruthless. But after meeting the boy, she realized that wasn't the case.

The sinister aura from earlier seemed more like the result of magic going out of control, not its original nature.

If she wasn't mistaken, that magic was originally an unaligned chaos, a force that changed according to the user's emotions.

Seeing the boy's desperate anxiety, Ancient One reached out and gently patted his head, calming him.

Then, with a kind smile, she said, "Don't worry. Right now, you have all the time you need to save this man. And you don't need my help, you already have the power to do it yourself!"

When the mysterious witch's hand touched his head, Harry immediately felt the black fluid surrounding him begin to change.

The thick blackness quickly faded, leaving behind only a delicate shade of gray.

And he felt his control over this power greatly improve, enabling him to do much more than just destruction!

So, instinctively, he looked at Uncle Ben and repeated in his mind:

"Uncle Ben, get better quickly! Uncle Ben, get better quickly!"

The miraculous chaotic magic responded to his command. A surge of gray mist poured into Uncle Ben's wound, and the gruesome gunshot injury rapidly healed. The bullet fragments remaining in his body were also annihilated by the chaotic magic!

When it was all over, the gray mist dissipated completely, and Uncle Ben's body was restored to its original state, even stronger than before the injury!

Sensing Uncle Ben's recovery, Harry smiled happily, then his body went limp as he fainted into Ancient One's arms.

Ancient One picked up Harry and gazed at the boy's face.

Because of this boy's arrival, the timeline of this parallel universe had become completely disordered. Now, she could only see futures in timelines where this boy didn't exist. Whenever the boy was involved, the future appeared as a blank void.

But she was no longer worried that the world would be destroyed because of this boy. Instead, she was very pleased, for she had found a successor whose talent surpassed even Stephen Strange's.

This thin, frail boy would become the most powerful Sorcerer Supreme in history!

Before leaving, Ancient One glanced at the lightning-shaped scar on Harry's forehead and frowned slightly:

"This won't do. My successor shouldn't be influenced by a mere fragment of a soul."

So she reached out and brushed her finger over the lightning scar. Amidst a shrill scream, the scar turned from black to the same color as his skin, becoming nearly invisible unless one looked closely.

Ancient One smiled in satisfaction, placed Harry in the arms of a woman named May Parker, and stepped through the portal behind her.

Grow quickly, future Sorcerer Supreme. I can't wait to see the wretched cries of those dimensional demons!

----

New York, Midtown Science High School, 12th grade.

Harry sat by the window. Without his glasses, he could easily see the words on the blackboard and understand the teacher's explanations, all thanks to the power granted by the chaotic magic within him.

Seven years had passed since he awakened his magic at the age of eleven. Now eighteen, he was about to enter university.

After being adopted by Uncle Ben and Aunt May seven years ago, the chaotic magic inside him had grown stronger with each passing day. By now, even his mentor, the Sorcerer Supreme, praised the sheer volume of his chaotic magic.

Though chaotic magic wasn't meant to enhance the body, its nourishing effects had transformed him into a fit, 1.8-meter-tall young man with eight-pack abs.

Thanks to the magic's influence, he no longer needed glasses, revealing his striking emerald-green eyes.

It also made him far more intelligent than the average person, which was why he consistently ranked first in the 12th grade.

And, of course, the magic enhanced his appearance, making him quite popular at Midtown Science High School. Compared to his life seven years ago, this was heaven.

He had long since left the Dursleys behind!

While memorizing the teacher's lesson, Harry spun a pen between his fingers.

The pen twirled rapidly on his thumb. Though he barely applied any force, it kept spinning for over ten minutes.

This was part of his magic control training. According to the Sorcerer Supreme, his magical reserves were immense, unfathomably so.

But the amount he could actually wield was limited, and even that portion often slipped from his control. So, the Sorcerer Supreme had him practice manipulating objects in daily life to improve his control.

Spinning the pen with magic was one such exercise.

Through this training, Harry could feel the amount of magic he could wield steadily increasing.

"It's incredible. No matter how hard I look, I can't find any traces of your magic trick. Is this really just a trick? Or is it a superpower?"

Harry glanced to his right, where the first thing he saw was a head of beautiful golden hair, followed by the delicate face beneath it.

This was his deskmate, Gwen Stacy—Midtown High's star student and the perennial third-ranked academic achiever in the 12th grade.

By the way, the perennial second-place student was his younger brother, Peter Parker, also adopted by Uncle Ben and Aunt May.

Unlike Harry, Peter was the son of Uncle Ben's brother, making him blood-related to Uncle Ben.

Of course, Uncle Ben would never favor Peter because of that. He wasn't a despicable jerk like Uncle Vernon.

Oh, let me say it again, I've already forgotten about the damned Dursleys!

Harry had quite a fondness for the kind and beautiful Gwen. Smiling, he replied,

"Of course it's a magic trick. What, did you think it was really a superpower?"

Gwen stared intently at the spinning pen, trying to spot any flaws in the trick.

Giving up, she grinned and said,

"Who knows? Maybe superpowers really do exist!"

Ring ring ring ring ring…

Just then, the bell rang for the end of class. Gwen blinked and asked the handsome boy beside her as he packed his things,

"Hey, Harry, want to grab a bite later? You still haven't let me thank you for carrying me to the nurse's office when I fainted last time!"

"Sorry, Gwen. I've got something to do. You know, my part-time job," Harry said apologetically, shrugging.

He really did have something to do, and he really did have a part-time job.

But it wasn't the kind of job Gwen imagined, like working as a cashier at a supermarket. Instead, he had to go to the New York Sanctum to study magic under the Sorcerer Supreme!
