"What does 'Phoenix Force - Modified' mean?!"
Kurohane opened the skill description in his mind, his expression a mix of confusion and caution. He knew this wasn't good news, but it wasn't the worst either.
[Phoenix Force - Modified: Chaotic yet immortal, eternal yet volatile, but dislikes men!]
[The System has modified the Phoenix Force, even a man can exert a fifth of its power.]
Kurohane's eyes widened in disbelief. This was good news, right? He could actually use this power! But the bad news was, it was only a fifth.
Still, he knew the Phoenix Force was selective. Male hosts were extremely rare, even Professor X in the comics had only wielded it once.
[The original Telepathy ability has been absorbed by the Phoenix Force, and the Phoenix Force has been enhanced.]
[The host can now exert two-fifths of the Phoenix Force.]
"Oh! So this is why I have telepathy!"
The Phoenix Force was the embodiment of the primordial Universe's life and psychic power, representing life and emotions. It only chose powerful telepaths to parasitize. Kurohane's own telepathy was incomplete, he could only probe the thoughts of others, not control objects or influence reality.
Now, with two-fifths of the Phoenix Force, Kurohane felt all-powerful. What's more, the Phoenix Force inside his body merged with the Holy Scar on the back of his hand, continuously expanding the internal space of the Holy Scar. The Holy Energy that was once pure white now had a tinge of orange-red from the Phoenix Force, looking full of vitality!
Kurohane grinned. "This thing is really strong! I definitely have the ability to be a Dimension King now, all I'm missing is the dimension itself! I'll go find Dormammu later, and borrow one!"
He completely forgot that he was still at the dinner table. The constantly changing expression on his face bewildered the people around him. Danvers, on the other hand, strongly felt the difference. If before Kurohane was heavily reliant on the Infinity Stones when fighting her, now she could feel a more tangible threat. Even without the Infinity Stones, Kurohane was strong enough to fight her. The current threat of Kurohane was even stronger than the Infinity Stones!
"Since everyone's doing fine, I'll be heading out first." Kurohane was a little anxious. He had to test out his new power immediately. He didn't want to waste any time.
Kurohane opened a portal as fast as lightning, ready to find a safe place to experiment.
"There's something, how can there be nothing!" Yondu and Malekith hastily held Kurohane back, each pulling out a communicator. Their styles were exactly the same, only the colors were different, Yondu held a black one, Malekith a white one.
"What's the meaning of this? Why are you two giving me smartwatches each?" Kurohane recognized the electronic bracelets. They were the most advanced technology in the galaxy, capable of transmitting signals across wormholes.
After Yondu and Malekith explained, Kurohane understood. These were the identities they prepared for him so he could operate in the Universe. Inside was the money they earned, enough to buy an Infinity Stone if combined! Inside were also their reports on their actions over the past six months, all translated into English.
Kurohane didn't actually care much. His goal in founding this organization was to get Justice Value. He didn't plan to manage it, but since his subordinates had done so, he decided to keep it. After all, there was still Justice Value coming in, this could be considered a "testing ground" he developed.
Kurohane thought for a moment, handed the black bracelet to Karina, his little secretary, and wore the white one on his hand. "From now on, Karina will be my agent. I don't like talking to you two, so just tell Karina if anything comes up. I'm taking Cosmo back to Earth. Karina, congratulations, you are the CEO of our organization from now on."
Kurohane squeezed Karina's hand hard, then extended his right hand and touched her shoulders on both sides, as if knighting her, completing some kind of mysterious ceremony.
Before Karina could even react, Kurohane stepped into the portal and disappeared. He didn't even take Cosmo!
"Did Kurohane get a stomachache? I only run this fast when I'm heading to the bathroom!" Cosmo didn't feel abandoned by Kurohane. She was originally a stray dog. She liked Kurohane, but didn't consider Kurohane her master!
"Investigate! See which chef made today's food!" After Karina came to her senses, she immediately gestured and gave orders to Yondu and Malekith.
Danvers helplessly patted her forehead. Kurohane really wasn't suited to be a leader. If this organization could continue, it was entirely due to the subordinates' own consciousness!
Yondu actually did send someone to investigate, and the investigation pointed to Karina. One of the dishes ordered today could not be digested by an Earthling. If Kurohane had diarrhea, it could only be blamed on Karina who ordered the dish! This matter finally came to nothing. No one dared to underestimate this new CEO, after all, Kurohane was a very powerful individual, how could he possibly have diarrhea?!
After Kurohane left, he began to test his power in a room in Null Space. All the furniture in the room floated under his control, and he himself was also floating in the air. At the beginning, he couldn't control his power well, he would wobble when flying, or use too much psychic power and destroy the furniture.
By the time Kurohane had messed up all the furniture, he was quite proficient in using the Phoenix Force. When Karina returned with Cosmo, saw the room that looked like a battlefield ruin, and Kurohane flying inside it, she felt that the sky had collapsed!
Then, Kurohane, who had three Infinity Stones and the Phoenix Force, was tackled by Karina. Karina hugged Kurohane and kissed him wildly. Kurohane not only saved her from the Collector's prison, but also gave her freedom and dignity, even entrusting a well-known organization in the Universe for her to manage, how could she not love Kurohane? She had long wanted to give herself to Kurohane, but there was no opportunity! Now that she finally got it, would she let Kurohane run away?
"This is my first time, be gentle..."
"To be honest, it's my first time too!"
