Chapter 89 - Chapter 89

Kurohane gently clenched his hand, and the Space Stone in the Infinity Gauntlet emitted a cold burst of blue light. The Avengers, buried under the Avengers Base which had been decimated by Sanctuary II's cannon barrage, were pulled out by Kurohane, like puppets whose strings were pulled by destiny.

Concurrently, a tube containing red Aether particles floated erratically to Kurohane's side. He reached out and took the tube of flowing liquid, crushing it into pieces with a light squeeze. The red liquid swirled several times in the air, then was drawn by the Infinity Gauntlet on Kurohane's hand. The stone transformed into a glowing red Reality Stone and embedded itself in the Infinity Gauntlet, granting Kurohane another electrifying surge of energy!

Speaking of the Aether particles that Rocket and Thor retrieved from Asgard, they were actually extracted from Thor's ex-girlfriend. However, the main plot of Thor 2 was to extract the Aether particles from Jane Foster. With Asgardian technology at the time, they couldn't safely extract the Aether particles. But Rocket simply took a tube and directly extracted it. There's no way Odin, that old fool, wasn't pulling strings behind the scenes. Kurohane wouldn't believe it even if you beat him to death!

The function of the Reality Stone was also very simple: to alter reality. This effect could be short-term or long-term, as long as the Reality Stone continuously provided energy. Once the Reality Stone stopped providing energy, the modified reality would revert to its original state.

The Avengers rescued by Kurohane stood behind him under the leadership of Captain America. Thor also armed himself with a large hammer in his left hand and a small hammer in his right, summoning lightning from the sky. Instantly, Thor's armor from five years ago appeared on him. Thor had gained weight over the past five years. But the armor didn't gain weight, instead, it miraculously contained a lot of fat. However, looking at Thor's flushed face and somewhat labored breathing, his armor might have significantly reduced his combat power!

A beam of light emerged from Sanctuary II and landed on the scorched earth, followed by a towering figure who walked out. His armor and helmet were dark gold, his height equal to the Hulk's, and his skin was purple, looking as if he had been given many stimulants. He held a double-edged, double-headed war blade in his right hand and wore a golden Infinity Gauntlet on his left hand. The Soul Stone and Power Stone were clearly embedded in it, appearing incredibly powerful.

At this moment, Kurohane also displayed his Infinity Gauntlet, even blowing on it and polishing it, as if showing off. The four Infinity Stones shone so brightly that Thanos couldn't even open his eyes!

Thanos felt his status as ruler of the Universe was being challenged, and his wrinkled chin drooped low. His eyes, usually radiating coldness, now implied faint anger. "Earthlings, surrender the Infinity Stones in your hand and embrace your destiny." His voice was heavy, reverberating in the dense air.

"Captain!!! I'm not good at arguing," Kurohane yelled, his cynical smile widening. "Tony said you're the most uncivilized of all the Avengers. Now it's your turn to perform. Come and curse him to death!"

Kurohane reached out and grabbed Steve who was standing behind him, pulling him to the front. It's the final battle. How can everyone still be protecting me? It's time for me to protect everyone!

Steve looked at Thanos before him, facing the nightmare of five years ago once again. He felt as if there was endless power throughout his body, as if he could reach out and summon lightning from the sky!

Wait! Lightning?

Steve suddenly found Mjolnir in his hand, and then saw Kurohane wink at him! To allow Steve to perform the exquisite combo he had long practiced, Kurohane used Telepathy to control Thor for a few seconds. Then, without any resistance, he took Mjolnir from Thor's hand and quietly placed it in Steve's hand.

The main reason was that the snap hadn't happened yet, and a large number of Avengers were still in ash form. After Thanos appeared, his Black Order forces also began to move out. Besides the Chitauri forces, which were originally cannon fodder, there were also many oddly shaped Aliens. And there were also minor bosses like the Black Order. Steve was indeed very strong, capable of fighting anyone on equal footing. However, Steve's Super Soldier version wasn't good at clearing out soldiers; having a hammer was more reliable! We know that from the fight in Wakanda five years ago, where he fought evenly with a bunch of small soldiers!

Steve: (face beaming, a wide smile etched). Good brother! I knew you'd give me a stage to show off!

Many clever remarks flashed through his mind, but in the end, Steve only managed to utter one sentence, which would forever echo in the history of the MCU: "Avengers~~~! Assemble!!!"

Thor let out an ancestral Asgardian roar, and his Stormbreaker, carrying thick lightning, charged into the enemy crowd! Immediately afterward, all the Avengers attacked Thanos. A dozen or so people miraculously displayed the momentum of tens of thousands!

Kurohane shook his head with a hint of disappointment. Although the Captain's line was also classic, Kurohane himself really wanted to see the Captain shout "Human Torch"! Judging from Human Torch's appearance in the Deadpool movie, he could indeed be called the most uncivilized among the Avengers!

But it seemed something was still missing. What about that blonde Captain Marvel!?

"Tony, where's that beautiful blonde girl you mentioned?! Why isn't she here yet?" Kurohane asked, his voice rising slightly amidst the din of battle.

"I contacted her when I contacted you guys earlier," Tony retorted, a barrage of lasers and missiles firing from his armor. "She said she'd be back soon. However, she didn't mention her exact location. I guess she shouldn't be too far from Earth!"

Tony and Rhodes took over all the soldier-clearing work. Their efficiency was higher than everyone else's combined. The ability to store so much ammunition in the Iron Man armor also leveraged Ant-Man's shrinking technology and nanotechnology. As long as there was enough time, the two of them could clear out all those small soldiers!

"Then what about the gift I saved for Thanos?" Kurohane stepped one by one towards Thanos, his pace steady and full of menace. Except for a few miscellaneous soldiers who were unaware of his presence, the Black Order was very wise and avoided the battlefield between the two of them. The Infinity Stones couldn't be trifled with. With two Infinity Stones, Thanos was already one of the top powers in the Universe. But now, Kurohane had a total of four!

Such power should be left to the higher-ups. Subordinates only needed to do their jobs well. He condensed a golden longsword with Holy Energy, and easily cut down two soldiers who lunged at him. These small soldiers were simply not worthy of him using the Infinity Stones!

"Those gifts are in the basement of the headquarters! Under the rubble there," Tony yelled from a distance, his focus divided.

"I'll return the base to its original state for 30 seconds. Seize this opportunity!"

Kurohane clenched his left hand, and the Reality Stone's energy activated. The collapsed and ruined Avengers Base slowly reverted to its original appearance, as if time itself was turning back!

"Jarvis, use all weapons! Fire!" Tony commanded, his voice full of determination, watching their headquarters recover amidst the chaos.
