Chapter 53 - CHAPTER 53

The plan was going as expected. Tony stopped attacking and observed the situation.

The final phase of his plan was to gather all the survivors together and eliminate them in one blow.

While he scattered and killed them from the sky, Dina was tracking and killing them on the ground one by one, forcing them to regroup to try and kill her.

"We succeeded, gentlemen, and we're still alive."

"This is no time to celebrate. The lady hiding in the shadows is still out there, and we need to figure out what's going on with those lightning strikes."

"COMRADES, CALM DOWN! DOES ANYONE HERE HAVE ANY INFORMATION TO SHARE?" said the village chief.

"Yes, we have something to say."

"SPEAK!" said the old village chief with a breathless voice.

"Rest, chief, sit down… You, we're still waiting."

"Ah… yes, yes, sorry. The woman who attacked us can hide in the shadows and emerge from them."

"Are you sure about that?"

"Yes. The one who told me this was decapitated. The woman sent us black projectiles. We all dodged them, but she emerged from one of them and decapitated him. Every shadow inside the tent must be eliminated, chief."

"YOU HEARD HIM, RIGHT? EVEN IF IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE, WE MUST CONSIDER EVERY PIECE OF INFORMATION!"

The men, women, and children of the village regained a bit of hope…

Suddenly, half the lights in the big tent went out.

A mocking laugh echoed through the room.

"Did you really think you'd stop me with these lights?" said Dina.

"EVERYONE, GET IN THE LIGHT!" said the village chief.

"MISTAKE. Who told you I couldn't move in the light?"

The chief turned around and saw the body of a woman. But when he looked at her head, he saw only darkness hiding her face.

The next second, he was decapitated—but his body stayed standing.

"You don't even deserve my pity," said Dina, slicing the rest of his body.

"NO... The chief is dead! CATCH HER!"

"How dare you decapitate the old chief, witch!"

Looking at them all as they rushed, Dina smiled and added, "Unfortunately, I'm not the one going to kill you all."

She summoned a black circle beneath her and sank into it, dodging the attacks and heading outside.

"This black circle devours your limbs—this bitch must die here!"

A woman ran after the circle that was heading to the exit and leapt into it.

"Oh... dear guest, as far as I remember, I didn't invite you in," said Dina.

"You… you ruined our lives. Your parents must be real sons of bitches to let a whore like you do this..."

Instantly, within the black space, the woman felt pressure and immediately took a defensive stance. A powerful killing intent emanated from Dina.

"You… before you die, you must suffer."

Dina fired at her multiple times.

"We know about your powers. You're planning to dodge those bullets and ambush me... pathetic."

Dodging and staying away from the bullets, the woman smiled, thinking she still had a chance.

"You trust too much what you've been told," said Dina, cutting off both her arms and legs in quick, merciless slashes.

"Ahh… ahh… you bitch… I curse you… I curse you..."

"If you hadn't talked about my parents, you'd already be dead."

Wrapping a rope of darkness around her neck, Dina hung the woman and tossed her out of the black circle.

The circle reached the shadows—Dina was now out of the villagers' reach.

She sat on the ground, her body still transformed into darkness.

In this form, her entire body was made of shadows—any weapon would simply pass through.

Unlike Tony, she hadn't yet mastered this new form; she couldn't split into multiple shadows.

"Tony… finish quickly—I can't hold out like this forever..."
