I parried a spear thrust, then with a swift move I slashed through the horse armor, cutting the horse's head and the spear monster in half.
Gasping for breath, my eyes landed on the timer in the sky.

I heard a cracking sound behind my ear. Turning my head, I saw Yamato cutting an arrow that almost reached me in half before returning to master Kai's hand.
A chill ran down my spine as I realized how close I was to getting injured.
I shook my head and focused on a sword monster that was close to me.
'Shit! Everything happened so fast.'
In only 5 minutes, the monsters broke the wall and the barrier, entering the stronghold with all their might.
What allowed them to do this were 3 things.
The first was their numerous numbers. Unlike the first 2 waves, their numbers were probably close to double!
