Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Preparation and Unique Skill: Creator(1)

Tao Pai Pai

The strongest killer on planet Earth... at least, at this stage of the timeline.

Goku hadn't yet met the sage Korin, who lived at the top of a tower bearing the same name, nor had he participated in the martial arts tournament.

The young Saiyans had neither proper martial arts nor the necessary experience to hope to win against Tao Pai Pai.

That's why the superhuman mercenary was precious, at this precise moment, in Gorou's plan.

The only person who could currently rival him was Ten Shin Han, but he was still training under Tsuru Sennin.

So, that remained purely speculative.

As for Arale... Gorou didn't even count her.

That child didn't evolve according to logic or common sense, since she seemed to be a character wielding toon force.

'If I hire him, then taking back the Red Ribbon's weapon during the following days will be easy.'

But Gorou didn't plan to leave everything to a man with no loyalty, aside from money.

Tao Pai Pai was just a tool.

He would be used... then discarded.

A resource easily obtained thanks to his powers, and money easily recoverable via Yuuki's skills.

"You're a pharmaceutical industry, right? Then please guide me to your laboratory."

The manager of Red Pharmaceuticals hadn't hesitated to lead Gorou to their laboratory.

On the way, Gorou couldn't help but marvel at the behavior of the hypnosis victim.

Usually, he simply erased his targets' memory with the Memori Gun.

He had never taken this kind of basic magic seriously.

But seeing this businessman act normally with others while remaining under his control triggered a shiver of concern.

'I remember there were interesting moments about hypnosis in the light novel...'

One of the scenes Gorou was thinking about concerned his own son, during a nighttime mission.

Issei had to deliver flyers to greedy people, but he had momentarily worried about the late hour.

He had then remembered that Rias had used hypnosis to modify the perception of normalcy in his parents.

A situation similar to where Miki had found it strange to see a naked woman with a man in a bed without them being a couple.

At that moment, Rias hadn't been able to convince Miki with simple arguments.

That's why she had simply hypnotized the family mother and continued her day.

A simple and effective solution, but a bit impolite towards her "favorite pawn's" parents.

Of course, Issei had felt uncomfortable with this practice, but Rias knew how to be 'convincing'.

It's at this point that hypnosis became dangerous for ordinary humans.

Even Goku had trouble in his childhood against General Blue and Roshi because of this ability.

This could easily realize the scenarios of certain H manga... but Issei, in the light novel, preferred listening to the voice of breasts thanks to his magic.

A genius? Or an idiot...

'Well, it's still better than becoming a r*pist.'

In his heart, Gorou was happy to have obtained a model equipped with mental defenses.

He had been able to avoid a fate similar to that of the pharmaceutical company manager, who now perceived Gorou as his master.

If someone asked him why he had to obey him, he wouldn't even know how to explain it.

For this man, it simply seemed... obvious.

"Master, here are our scientific facilities, as well as some of our products."

While Gorou was considering simply using hypnosis within Capsule Corp, the man guiding him spoke:

"You can leave, but don't bother me until you've heard from the mercenary Tao Pai Pai."

"Oh yes, of course, it's obvious."

After the overweight man's departure, the employees in white coats who were observing the scene returned to their activities.

However, Gorou could feel their curiosity about him.

"I'm now your direct superior, so please work hard."

After this last hypnosis, he headed toward documents placed on a desk.

That's how he began to sift through information on the company's technological advances.

...

"Tss, they have a narrow vision of things and their potential."

The documents studied by Gorou only mentioned barely popular products.

However, certain technologies and elements still aroused his interest.

For example: Animorphaline.

It was a medication... at least officially. Gorou saw it more as a legal drug allowing someone to become a demi-human.

He even envisioned a 'Superior Iron Man' scenario, which is feasible to a certain extent with this medication.

'I've never seen this stuff in the manga, it must come from a game or a side story.'

The product itself was mediocre.

But what interested Gorou was its ability to modify an individual's DNA, allowing them to adopt traits from another species... all via a simple pill.

"It's really fascinating... but also a bit absurd in certain aspects."

It had to be understood that the method used with Miki was much less complex.

Miki was a semi-succubus, unable to awaken her demonic heritage, due to Gorou's lack of knowledge on the subject.

She had only received a young and "hungry" body, but the housewife had been able to calm this last aspect of her genetic heritage through pregnancy.

Rei and the others were different.

Unlike Miki, who was like a page with a few scribbled words, the others were completely blank sheets.

Their creation had been entirely controllable, without any rejection due to any incompatibility.

That's also why the Sigur institute hadn't distributed the Nordic hero's genes to experienced exorcists.

They had had to create their own Sigur, from scratch, from a simple sample.

Gorou had acted the same way: he didn't want to play too much with DNA.

Even Rick C-137 had failed to save a civilization with degenerate DNA.

Of course... he might have just been lazy.

And now, Gorou had just learned a way to create true demi-humans of other races.

Thanks to what? A simple pill.

All without too many risks.

He wasn't even obliged to create from scratch like with Rei.

He could theoretically manufacture half-devils, then pure-blood devils... without visible and biological difference from the original.

Everything would be a matter of dosage... of test subject, but also of time.

"The only side effect is the difficulty in reversing the process... but it's not impossible, unlike Vegapunk's or Caesar's fruits."

It was an unexpected jackpot.

Gorou's only real frustration: genetic transmission between parents and children.

This prevented him from having absolute monopoly over the powers he had provided himself... but that, he would solve later.

Apart from the medication named: Animorphaline, there were documents listing replicas of Dr. Brief's capsules.

Unfortunately, they're not as good as the real ones.

"This world's technology is really a windfall, but... should I really delay my return for it?"

He worried about this dangerous idea, but it was temporary and brief.

Gorou felt something in the deepest part of his very essence, which vibrated in resonance with his desire to learn more.

'I... I see, so I can also use it this way.'

The Creator skill pulsed within him like a heart.

It was as if the latter wanted to manifest his desire into something that could help him.

"I don't know if my will will be sufficient, but I really want Great Sage or a similar skill."

Without a shadow of hesitation, the scientist gave free rein to his thirst for knowledge and his desire to have the unique skill.
