The mirrors in the manor were numerous, more than necessary. Distributed almost randomly, yet always facing dark corners. Since his grandfather's death, Edwin noticed something strange... the reflections didn't follow movement as they should.
The next morning, he passed by a large mirror in the hallway leading to the library. His reflection didn't move. It remained standing, staring at him. Without blinking, without breathing.
He approached it slowly. Hesitated, then reached out to touch it. But he didn't feel glass... but air. The mirror was cold as ice, yet soft, like a solidified water surface.
Suddenly, the reflection smiled.
But it wasn't his reflection.
"Enter... if you want to understand... if you want to survive..." said the entity inside the mirror, in a voice mixed with the sounds of children laughing and crying simultaneously.
But he didn't enter.
That night, something else happened.
Alexander disappeared.
He left behind a small pocket mirror. On its surface, a shaky hand had inscribed:"Lilith took him. Don't let her take you too."
