In the prison where Ethan laid, he moved his hands—but was met with a cold shackle around his arm. The steel bit into him like a serpent that wouldn't let go.
"What the hell! Where am I?" Ethan shouted. His voice ricocheted off the walls, returning familiar yet twisted—like a memory wearing someone else's face.
All at once, the corridor swung open. A tall, pale man stepped through. His limbs were unnaturally elongated, his skin stretched thin like parchment over bone.
"Unit 03, what do you remember?" the man asked, voice flat, eyes too still.
Ethan blinked. "Who is Unit 03?"
The pale man twitched. Not once, but in a series of staccato jerks—like a puppet remembering it had strings. His head tilted too far. His mouth opened, but no words came. Just a low hum, like a machine warming up.
"Why, it is you, my short friend," the pale man said, his smile stretching uncontrollably wide—then collapsing into a deep frown. "Now answer me," he said again, voice dipped in shadow.
Ethan, clearly shaken by the pale man's sudden shift, stammered: "Umm… I don't know. I—I remember Huray, Emma, and Clair."
"Alright, is that all?" the pale man said, his smile returning slowly and deliberate, like a mask being reattached.
"Umm, yea, everything went blank after that," Ethan stammered, struggling to sit up, the shackles clanking against the cold floor.
Ethan's eyes started to dart around, his breaths shallow and ragged. He froze, panic seizing him. "W-wait, a m-minute, Emma, is s-sh-she o-okay?" Ethan stammered, his voice cracked with raw fear.
"AND WHERE AM I? I DON'T KNOW YOU!" Ethan shouted, his anger surging, voice booming through the cell, fists straining against the shackles.
"Hahaha, you're so funny, little one, what we are going to do to you won't remember any of that" the pale man eerily chuckled. Meanwhile, far from the prison's cold walls, Haruy sat alone in the rain-soaked forest, his cloak heavy with water. But his body bore no wound—only the memory of pain.
Huray's mind clung to Emma's final words before she chased the thief: "We will survive, anything." The Wyvern's shadow loomed in his thoughts, its talons a grim echo of the thief's jester laugh. "Emma, I won't let you down—or Ethan," he whispered, gripping his sword. But his body bore no wound—only the memory of pain.
"You will find Ethan, And I will find Clair like you said" Huray says, realizing this is the first he has been alone since he met Ethan. Then he continues the path they were once following, before the jester showed up. "I Believe in you Emma, so believe in me too" Huray Shouts, as he raises his fist in the air as the midday glares off his soaked cloak. Simultaneously, Emma is still following the Jester, as they arrive at a bunker. The Jester's mask switched to the happy face
"Wow, you were able to keep up" The Jester chuckled
"Give me back Ethan" Emma Shouts,
"He is right in this bunker." The Jester chuckles,
the mask switches to neutral "But you'll have to get through me first." The jester says calmly.
"Let's, get over with this" Emma murmurs, they Jesters Mask switches to the happy face
"Oh, confident, are we?" The Jester laughs, his voice being silenced by the trees.
"The endings are dramatic. So, I will end you with style." The Jester teases, as he lunges forward with a dagger that was once concealed by his sleeves, Emma barely dodges, as she charges a spirit beam.
At the same time, Ethan still in the cell as everything began to shake
"WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING" The pale man yells, like a monster coming out of a cage. As he rushes out of the building dropping the cell keys on the ground, in the process, Ethan, reaches toward the keys through the bars, but his arm is just not long enough "Almost, Ethan, you got this relax." Ethan murmurs to himself, then finally he grabs them he unlocks the shackle around his hands and then he unlocks the cell, Ethan smirks "Well I thought this would be harder" Ethans says…
