Chapter 79 - Depth of the story

Their story continued running ahead toward the destiny they desired to meet. But is it really possible to step ahead by defying fate? Perhaps it is, but what was the conclusion they met from their unbreakable love toward each other? What was their fate with the most selfless ambition?

Surely every day passed for them in this way. But someone was a little different there, with a little hidden causality going for him, causality that never meant to exist in the world.

Night fell in the latter part of that day. It was a full moon night, with the shiny moon illuminating every single corner of the world. I could hear the countless voices of chattering across the main city, the laughter of the mortals, and every single inhabitant belonging to the city. Sorrow and sadness were fantasy concepts to exist inside the city. My eyes ran throughout the entire city and witnessed all those smiling faces, those gentle gazes, and the happiness on their faces. It was the best of times; it was the fantasy of time. The scenario belonged to my dream, my goal, and my story.

The presence of a little piece of flame swirl caught my attention. Somewhat, it wasn't a swirl of mere flames, but something that was secretly giving me a warning. Behind the face of the world where fantasy smiled to my gaze, where sadness became a foolish story, where happiness turned out to be the only virtue to exist; something behind the face was changing everything.

My curiosity flowed away toward the corner of the world, very far away from the center of the world, from the root city. It was inside an extremely huge forest with a bone-chilling appearance. My sight noticed something from far away: a large part of the forest was burning down to ashes with the presence of those chaotic red flames. As I got closer to the scenario, my eyes witnessed the presence of the being that I never expected to see. It was the person with crimson-dark hair along with his army-like suit. The expressionless figure with his blank appearance was Reiji, holding the grip of a deadly crimson red sword while fresh blood fell on the ground, trying to keep hugging the sword.

Countless corpses were scattered throughout the entire area, soulless along with a deadly wounded appearance. Reiji lowered his gaze to the said figure in front of him, stabbing the figure with all of his might with the crimson red sword. With putting all of his anger into the crimson red sword, Reiji was unstoppably stabbing the figure.

He narrowly stared behind, toward my gaze. I'm a reader who's witnessing the story while getting into the depth of the story, trying to be a part of the story. But at that moment, I could feel his expression and the voice of those weak eyes. It wasn't his anger that was reflecting from his eyes, but a sort of disappointment over everything around him. Nothing could truly bother him enough to be entertained; nothing had the capability to approach him to make him smile.

While the surface of the world was displaying the endless happiness lurking in every corner of the world, Reiji was busy slaying the mortals. What was the reason behind that? It was an obvious curiosity to pop out in my mind.

In every world, in every story, in every possible tale that existed and will exist-it always began with a little trace to face the consequences of chaos. The reason could be the curiosity of the mortals to know the unknown; it could be the eagerness they're holding to fill their hunger; it could be the little trace of hatred they're holding toward that certain person who did something against their will; it could be the rock that got in that certain person's way and caused the reason for the birth of the concept we know as 'anger'.

The presence of all those little traces slowly spread throughout the world, throughout the story, throughout all the tales. So what could be the reason behind the calm happiness residing within this world? What could be the secret? The answer is the death of these mortals, these soulless figures.

Reiji is a being with the capability of being able to understand every single human's emotions, whether they are negative or positive. Simply, he could feel the presence of negative and positive emotions throughout the entire world. If the presence of negative emotions erupted in any corner of the world, he could immediately feel it.

It was quite long ago; it could be more than a hundred years ago. The world I can see in front of my sight was nearly a newfound world, with a little chaos existing throughout the world. The friendship between the four of them had existed since then. Reiji, Arfanez, Liona, and Araya—they were friends with the hope to create a world like a flawless and peaceful world where nothing could erupt as the reason for chaos. The way of salvation was love, and spreading the love all across the world. Since then, they began to visit every corner of the world to spread their love among the mortals.

After their attempts for several months, a morning appeared with a fresh look across the entire world. The feeling was strange, as if the concept of chaos suddenly disappeared from the face of the world. Truly, the four of them couldn't find any anger on the faces of the mortals. It wasn't any different, with everyone holding a smile on their face. But chaos was an intact concept in the world. However, this morning was strangely different, with chaos completely disappearing from every corner of the world.

For the four of them, it was the success of their never-ending effort. They were happy, satisfied, as they were now with smiles on their faces. But only a single person wasn't holding the usual bright smile on his face; it was Reiji.

The obvious guess was that he was the reason behind the sudden change of the world. It was the last night; the most chaotic night of his life, the night when he caused the destruction he never dreamed of witnessing. By running across the entire world, he figured out the presence of negative emotions and slew every single mortal with negative emotions. His crimson red sword slew the souls of all those mortals, causing a bloodbath across countless corners of the world. At last, not a single being existed with negative emotions; nothing but dust remained.

In a matter of a single night, Reiji murdered every single mortal with negative emotions. The concept of negative emotions was demolished from the face of the world, turned into nothing but a myth for the world.

The world began to witness endless happiness and the existence of a flawless world where anger and hatred became a fantasy.

Negative emotions are born from the inside of the mortals; it's nothing that a being can remove entirely. So Reiji's job became never ending, something that was never going to meet a conclusion.

Every night, with every appearance of the moon, Reiji's presence and that destructive crimson sword continuously slew down every being with negative emotions, stopping the possibilities of chaos.
