It was nearly impossible for me to figure out his intentions. As for his appearance, his gentle gaze, bright and wide smile symbolized the presence of a certain kind-hearted individual. However, there was a false layout in his eyes. A layout of chaos and destruction, something that appeared to be hidden but was yet visible in some sense. Behind his kind appearance, there was the presence of chaotic intentions. They appeared to be a false layout over his kind gaze but were pretty terrifying.
I stepped ahead toward him and said with a smile, "Rayan Akiya, you say? I feel like I've heard this name before, not so long ago." I took a breath and widely lifted my gaze toward Rayan.
"Whatever, it's not like I really care about that. So tell me, why are you here and what do you want from us?" I added.
Rayan smiled a bit and glared toward me a bit deeply and said with his casual smile, "Should be an obvious answer to tell."
"I'm here to fix the flaw, the ruler of Zeldia. I would love to return back Zeldia to its previous state." Rayan said as he took a break after his first sentence.
"So you are saying you want to kill the ruler of Zeldia? I'm afraid I won't be able to let you do that. After all, the ruler of Zeldia is my only friend's father; I can't just let him die like that." I replied, my voice appeared completely straightforward without a trace of hesitation.
"I've forgotten about that certain self I used to be one with. It could be that I'm taking a little break, trying to find something different. But right now, I will be stupidly blind, I will be the most cruel existence ever, just for the sake of that certain goal." Rayan replied. I don't know how his voice sounded, but every single part of his sentences ran through my soul, my memory, and my root. I have no idea why, but I felt like those sentences are something I've seen, I've seen so many times.
"Can't I say the same thing about myself? It could be that I was always like that, but I will definitely get in your way if you try to do anything to Zeldia." Marco replied to Rayan. He smiled widely as his voice was pretty rough. Marco put his left hand ahead toward Rayan with a dragon claw sign. His hand claw began brimming with deep red magic power. Without thinking further, he sent a dragon claw slash toward Rayan. The presence of the slash was extremely strong; it was so effective that the entire supreme realm began to tremble entirely. The slash ran toward Rayan so fast that even Muzan couldn't manage to detect its presence.
Rayan lifted his right hand toward the slash and blocked it completely effortlessly. The strength of the slash was still intact, trying to penetrate through Rayan's hand. A minor piece of dark shadow appeared on the upper side of Rayan's right hand and instantly scattered all around his hand, slowly absorbing the entire energy force of the slash, reducing the presence of the slash to nothing.
"I'm afraid, power such as this won't be able to do anything to me; leaving a mere scratch could be something impossible to do." Rayan said with a smile, his voice appeared as casual as his expression.
Marco drew a dark red magic circle in front of him. The magic circle was like an abyss with an endless storm of hellish flames rotating around it, similar to the magic circle itself. The magic powers that were brimming inside the portal were displaying some visual presence of chaos and destruction. Slowly, a flashing crimson red magic sword came out from the circle, removing the magic circle from there. The presence of pure magic power was brimming around the magic sword; it was a living chaos and symbol of destruction. Marco grabbed the sword with his left hand and pointed it toward Rayan's neck.
"If you want something that can truly destroy you, then I would love to show it, something that can destroy the 6th layer itself." Marco said with a pretty deep voice. It was quite surprising for anyone to hear of a weapon capable of removing the existence of the 6th layer.
However, Rayan smiled a bit toward Marco and said, "I would love to confront you in a battle but, it seems like I can't spend further moments here; it's too late already."
Marco instantly lifted his gaze toward Rayan and glared deeply. Instead of waiting further, Marco flew toward Rayan with lightning magic sparking around him. Marco shouted while flying, "I won't let you go away!"
"Goodbye for now." Rayan replied. "My old comrades." Rayan whispered; his voice was too gentle and calm to be heard by anyone, it was nearly silent.
He narrowed his stare toward me and smiled a bit by closing his eyes as a sign of a respective expression.
A shadow portal appeared in front of him. He stepped his left leg inside the portal and was about to pull himself inside. However, suddenly the magic sword carried by Marco appeared in front of Rayan and was nearly about to hit his neck.
Something blocked the strike, completely freezing the sword in an unprogressive state. It was a white glass alike barrier created by me. Marco's expression changed from chaotic intents to a never-ending surprise. While he was floating in the space, he slowly looked back toward me. My hand was lifted ahead toward Marco and my gaze was down toward the ground.
I slowly lifted my gaze up toward Marco's face and said indifferently, "It's not the time yet, Marco."
Marco stepped back a bit behind. Rayan smiled a bit toward me and vanished away from there by putting himself entirely inside the portal. The shadow portal disappeared as my barrier did.
As he disappeared from there, Marco instantly stepped toward me. His expression was brimming with anger and questions over my action from earlier. Marco shouted instantly as soon as he got in front of me, "Aizis! What is the meaning of this? Why did you do this?"
"I know what I did and I'm well aware of the reason. I did nothing wrong here." I answered calmly.
"What do you mean by nothing wrong? Do you want to betray Raizel and his wish?" Marco shouted once again.
"No, it's nothing that can possibly be done by me. That's why I did this, just for that certain reason." I replied.
"What….I don't understand what you are trying to mean." Marco said, appearing pretty surprised.
I took a bit of a long breath and deeply glared at Marco and said without any expression, "Listen Marco, I don't care if you walk with me or not, but if you want to go up against me and kill me, then I won't stop myself either."
Marco's face turned red as his rage destroyed the barrier of self-control. He instantly grabbed my collar and shouted much more loudly, "You bastard, how dare you think any of us would kill you? Did you lose the last hope you had in us?"
I smiled at Marco a bit. But my expression didn't change as the smile was totally blank and embodied emptiness.
Marco forced me back as he let my collar go; he said a bit loudly, "Do whatever you want; I can't think of betraying you."
Without leaving further words, I drew a magic portal behind myself and left the supreme realm by dragging myself inside the portal. Following me, Marco and Elesia also left the realm with their own magic portal.
As we left the realm, Maria kept staring toward us. She was totally silent the entire time; she didn't speak even a single word. After a few moments, Maria slowly sat down on the open sand field. Her gaze appeared to be extremely intense and fixed toward the ground. She slowly lifted up both of her hands and covered her face with them, pressing it pretty hard.
Maria began to take long breaths and her eyes were trembling. Then she spoke up with a broken voice, "Is there any way for me to skip the causality of the world? Can I take a bit of rest? Can I smile just for a single moment?" She whispered. She removed her hands from her face and looked toward the cloudy sky, "Why am I supposed to continue fighting without taking a single rest? I'm tired." Maria yelled as her eyes let the storm of tears run out; she cried.
After letting her tears run away for some moments, she said with her tears continuing to run from her eyes, "It's always the sight of destruction, the sight of cruelty and blood that appears in front of my eyes. Why can't I escape from all these? Why can't I survive just for a moment? Why can't I tell myself that it's going to be fine, everything will be fine, everyone will be ok, why?"
Maria continued crying as her tears continued dropping on the land of sand, making the pieces of sand wet. I don't know if it's the flow of causality or something outside of causality. Is the chaos, the destruction, and the hunger for power a part of causality? I don't know the answer. But after reading Maria's stories, I felt like everything is the same. I can find nothing but chaos, destruction, and hunger; every story is nothing more than chaos. Everyone is hungry, no one is satisfied, no one can smile from their heart. From my soul, I just want to find a single story; I just want to read a story without chaos, a story filled with love and smiles; that's my only wish.
