Chapter 34 - For some moments, it's better

Something bothered her. Some memories started to resurface.

Lumisha was sitting inside a royal palace. A 20+ year-old boy knelt in front of her and bowed his head.

"Please allow me to be with you. I've fallen for your beauty, Miss Lumisha. I would love to marry you," the boy said sincerely.

Lumisha's face was covered with a dark shadow as she seemed very angry.

She lifted her left hand and pointed her index finger toward the boy. A blue beam came out of her hand and penetrated the boy's head. The beam shattered his entire body and scattered it all around.

"I'm the most beautiful woman in the realm. How dare you try to propose to me? You foolish being can never stand right beside me—never!" Lumisha shouted.

Lumisha returned to the present. She lay on the ground with no spirit or energy left in her body.

"Maybe I shouldn't have been that rude. Maybe I was too arrogant with my beauty. I was wrong? Why was I wrong? Why couldn't I bother to be soft? Why was I so foolish?" Lumisha continuously thought to herself. The desperation in her soul was destroying her from inside. Something was telling her the mistakes—but also that it was too late.

"I want to go back. I want to go back to the time when I could fix my mistakes. I want to," Lumisha whispered, as a tear fell from her eyes and dropped to the ground.

Afterward, her soul left her body and disappeared into the sky.

Marco was standing a bit away, witnessing Lumisha's whispering.

"I don't know if this will happen, but someday, I hope you'll return—to where you can restart everything again. Where you can shape your reality the way you want. A reality without any flaw," Marco spoke slowly as he smiled.

A magic portal appeared in front of him, and he entered. The portal vanished—and so did Raizel.

Night fell, and the moon appeared.

The next morning, the sun slowly rose into the sky of Zeldia.

Raizel dressed himself and slowly walked out of his home. As soon as he stepped outside, he witnessed the presence of Marco, Maria, and Aizis standing at the gate of his house.

"Waiting for you," Maria spoke up as soon as Raizel stood in front of them.

"Thanks for waiting for me. I don't appreciate it," Raizel replied and started to walk along the street, a small smile on his lips.

"Eeh? Stop, Raizel! How dare you disrespect my effort!" Maria shouted a bit.

Following Raizel, the other three started walking with him.

"So, Marco, you actually did it. I'm impressed," Raizel spoke up.

"You doubted me? Hilarious," Marco replied.

"But I can say the sacred spirit was really strong. I was expecting less than that," he added.

"Marco, I'm still curious how you were exactly able to defeat him with the level of your magic power. I know every single sacred spirit very well and the level of their magic power. I'm well aware that you fought against Lumisha. I have no idea how you did this," Raizel spoke up slowly, a hint of question appearing on his face.

"Well, that's an interesting question, but I can't answer," Marco replied, smiling a sarcastic smile afterward.

Raizel stared toward Marco with narrowed eyes.

"Just joking. I can understand the level of a sacred spirit's power, but for some reason, Lumisha didn't use her actual power in her battle. I managed to land a final blow that completely terrorized her," Marco added, offering a gentle smile on his face.

"I just can't reveal who I am right now. I'm afraid they'll go against me if I actually tell them the truth," Marco thought to himself as he kept the gentle smile on his face.

"It feels like it doesn't match. Sacred spirits aren't the sort of beings that will hold back," Raizel replied.

"Their nature is to destroy their opposite with everything they have. They don't just defeat their opponents but completely demolish them to nothing," he added. He seemed to be unsure regarding the matter, as there was a mark of question in his expression.

"That was weird for me too, but somehow, I was able to do it," Marco said.

"It's nice to see that you managed to do this. That's exactly what's important for me. I had some faith in you, and you were able to do it, Marco," Raizel replied as he smiled gently.

Marco smiled back in reply.

The other two also smiled as they were listening to their conversation.

Following the street, they got into the academy as it was not really far from there.

After finishing their academic activities, they returned back to their own homes like they always did.

Night fell, and so the moon appeared. It was a full moon night as the surroundings brightened due to the light of the moon.

Zeldia is a realm covered with a huge forest around it. The view from the sky of the realm, covered with a forest filled with countless green trees, was simply amazing.

Since it was a full moon night, the entire realm seemed to be awake in the first part of the night.

Raizel left his home as Aizis and the others had asked him to join them at night in the sky tower that's placed a bit away from Raizel's home inside Zeldia.

The tower was more than 200 meters in height. The view of the sky from the tower was incredible.

Even though it was night, the wind flow was covering the entire realm because of the presence of a huge sea right beside the forest and the realm.

As soon as Raizel got to the top of the tower, he saw the three of them standing in front of the gate of the tower.

"You're really late again, Raizel," Maria said, her voice tired.

Raizel put his gaze upon Maria and smiled a bit. "I'm extremely sorry for that. I wasn't planning to be late, but still..."

"It's fine, come," Maria replied, taking her sight off Raizel.

Raizel slowly walked toward them and stood right beside Maria.

"So what is it that's so important for you guys to call me out?" Raizel asked.

"Nothing, just to be here. We have no plan to do anything," Aizis replied while keeping his gaze toward the sky.

Raizel didn't express anything for some moments and then smiled a bit.

"I don't know what he's thinking. Could be because I don't understand the concept of emotion," Raizel thought to himself. Following Aizis, Raizel put his gaze toward the moon.

Suddenly, the sky changed as multiple colors began to appear one by one in the sky.

Raizel appeared to hear a voice along with that—a bit familiar voice.

"Honorable Mister Raizel, I don't have any way to pay back for the lesson you gave me. However, I wanted to show you something that will reveal something new for you," the voice spoke up slowly.

"That's... Alphabed? Why is he doing this?" Raizel thought to himself.

While Raizel was listening to Alphabed's words, the entire realm became active out of the view in the sky as they started to chatter with each other pretty loudly.

"It's a rainbow, but... isn't it a bit different?" Maria said, a bit of excitement appearing in her voice and expression.

"Maybe a difference is better, for some moments," Raizel replied with a smile.

Maria put her gaze toward Raizel and smiled a bit, without saying a word.
