Chapter 8 - A Glitch in the Loop

Our first meetup wasn't anything fancy. Just coffee by the riverside café.

Ashe smiled nervously the whole time. So did I. We talked about mundane things—classes, friends, the weather. But underneath that, every word felt loaded with memory.

I wasn't sure what she saw in me now.

But I knew I wanted to find out.

"I'm glad you reached out." She said at one point, cheeks tinged pink.

"Me too." I replied, probably too fast.

But as we walked away, I felt something—like static at the edge of my vision.

And then I saw her again. The girl from that room. Long black hair. Violet eyes.

She stood across the street, watching.

When I blinked, she was gone.

Later that night, I sat on my bed, trying to shake off the unease. My phone buzzed. Unknown number.

"Don't stop now. You're close."

No name. No reply function.

I tossed the phone aside, my heart racing.

Something wasn't right.

That girl, is she the one who killed me. I can't see much since it's dark.

Am I really get killed, and then travel back in time.

If I'm really does back in time, why do I return to this point in my life?
