"PATIENT 019", the speakers shout, calling a patient in asylum. "PATIENT 019, KINDLY WALK TO THE EXIT COUNTER.", the sound of speakers echo through the uncanny asylum. As sky park walks to the exit counter, the employees look at him with angry and envying eyes. As he ignores their wishpers, he reaches to the exit counter.
The employee at the counter says, "Hmph... SKY PARK, a patient of... Dissociative identity disorder. With total of 3 personalities. First is smart, second is casual, and the third one is something I don't wanna talk about. The report says that you'll never be able to cure your disease. So you're released from the asylum." The ruthless words of the employees feels like a sledgehammer striking the back mercilessly to sky. He tries to make his face straight but it was really obvious he is crying in his mind.
He gets out of the asylum and starts leisurely walking, he goes to a park and sits on the bench. He blinks his eyes and he Hallcinates as he is again in that asylum. A guy says, "sky, what're you thinking? What did you do that your won mind broke your identity in 3, did you chase gangsters? Or perhaps tried taking over the government." Sky blinks his eyes again and he hears, "Hey friend, haven't seen you in years. What did you really do? Remember the old days, you had the talent of learning anything. Literally anything. We used to play together, you were a genius, I was a loser. But because I was with you. I enjoyed my life. I enjoyed your friendship. Don't you miss us?" Sky smiles and says, "I still have the talent to learn anything, I missed you guys too. Why did you come to me now." He says, "because we're friends isn't it? Why wouldn't I care for you. And well, if you have the talent to learn anything, why don't you learn everything?" Sky says, "Shut it. I know you enjoyed childhood, but now you don't need me, you aren't caring. You just don't wanna be the loser again. And as for why I don't learn everything, it's because there's no one to teach everything."
Sky park walks away thinking what should he be doing after getting out of the asylum. His mind lingers on the thought of going back to school or finding an easy job. Sky goes to his old home. As he walked in the building, he felt a strange mix of nostalgia and cryptic. He opens his backpack only to find an old rusted key he had kept safe for 5 years. He opens the lock on the door. His home is a dimly lit and dust covered place. He gets in and searches for money his parents had kept safe before dying in an accident. But he only finds 1,00,000 ₩ (korean won). He checks his phone, it had some messages, some from friends, some from bank, some from frauds. But one of them was truly intriguing, it reads, "You're finally out of that hell, but this world for you is now cruel. You may not be handle this unfamiliar world, do not believe on peoples, politicians, or even the police who are meant to save you. I wanted to meet you but I'm very occupied. So, we will talk later. And also, be careful from people who continuously stare at you." Sky reads the message and keeps on checking other messages hoping for a vacant job advertisement.
As he is scrolling through his Gmail, he finds an advertisement for a vacant job spot for a part-time data entry job. It talked about a hotel which needed efficient students who can use computer effectively to enter data for accounting of purchases of rooms. He looks at it and immediately starts working on his resume. After submitting his resume and going through the interview process, Sky was finally accepted for the part-time data entry position at the local hotel.
He then walks back to his home, but notices a cafè. When he used to go to school, his friends came here frequently to have a nice talk. But he notices a familiar guy in black suits and dark sunglasses staring at him by the window. The man's eyes lock with Sky's, and the world seems to freeze for a moment. Sky instinctively looks away, but the encounter leaves him feeling like he's being followed.
As sky thinks about the man, the world around him starts fading away, leaving just a dark black void. As the whole world disappears in front of him. 2 guys with identical face as sky's appear. One with red eye, and one with a void like completely dark eyes. The place is the mind of sky park. The 3 persons are all of his personalities, the blue eyes one, which controlled him for this while was smart one, seojun, the casual one is red eyed, minjae, and the merciless on is demon-like eyed, sahyeon. Minjae says, "What're you doing? What will you be doing, what will we be doing?" Seojun says, "the problem with money is fixed, but someone is following us, someone is... Someone is trying to hunt us down." Sahyeon says, "Scared huh? When you'll need me, don't ever ask help from me okay. I won't be the one to save you."
As Sky stops on the sidewalk, his personalities start fighting within his mind. Seojun thinks, Minjae hesitates, and Sahyeon ignores. But before they reach a conclusion—
A sharp pain explodes in the back of his head.
Darkness.
When Sky regains consciousness, he feels cold. His vision blurs, flickering between reality and his mind's void. He feels unsafe, figures move next to him, voices whispering, weapons glinting under the dim alley light, "You've got nowhere to run," a voice says.
Sky's body is weak, his thoughts stuck, but inside his mind, his three selves move. Seojun tries understanding the situation, Minjae panics, and Sahyeon… laughs. "So, what's it gonna be? Haha, the swordsman lost his sword huh, Slice his arms, the arms by which he succeeded to betray our leader." one of the gangsters says, cracking his knuckles.
