Oh yes. They made it. I spun slowly in place, translucent but very present, arms out like I was welcoming old friends home. Adrian looked ready to tear into me. Kaori was trembling. Xavier's father, rage and betrayal simmered just below his skin. Xavier? He didn't move. Just watched me like he already knew what was coming. I couldn't help the grin.
"You really did it." I said, walking around them slowly. "You solved everything. Even the parts I never wrote."
"WHY?" Adrian barked. "Why Xavier? Why us?"
I tilted my head, childlike, eyes glowing faintly with flickers of code.
"Because he was chosen. Not by me. Not really. The town council, the original developers… they asked for a vessel. A kid strong enough to hold a world together. And I made it for him. I made it real."I explained.
Xavier didn't flinch.
"You made me alone."He said.
"I made you legendary." I whispered.
The room pulsed again as viewers poured into the livestream.
