Chapter 47 - Feisty

After looking around, I just completely lost interest in the robbers as I went forward to sit down at the bar.

The owner of the bar was still looking at me in a daze, but I just looked back at him with a smile as I said, "Give me a glass of your finest."

The owner of the bar didn't react when I saw this as he continued looking at me with the same strange look.

The way that he looked at me was as if he couldn't believe what I had done. He was looking at me like he thought I was a monster, just like the robbers had thought.

In the end, it wasn't the owner of the bar that broke the silence.

"Look at what you've done!"

I turned over to find a beautiful red haired girl standing there. She was wearing a maid's outfit and seemed to be the waitress of this bar.

But before I could take a closer look at her, the owner of the bar suddenly came back to his senses.

There was a look of fear that appeared in his eyes before he went over to grab the red haired girl. His hand went over her mouth to stop her from saying anything else and then he leaned in to whisper something before pushing her behind him.

When he turned back around, the owner of the bar said, "Dear customer, I'm sorry for my daughter's outburst. She's just a child, she doesn't know any better."

"Ha, ha, ha, do you really think that I would mind? I'm not that narrow minded of a person." I said while bursting out in laughter.

In fact, it was interesting seeing how feisty that red haired girl was.

The owner of the bar didn't really seemed like he believed me at first, but he chose to believe me when I said, "Just go and get me my drink already."

He gave a slow nod in response before turning around to follow my orders.

However, he quickly turned back around when he heard what I said next.

"As for your daughter…"

I didn't even get to finish saying what I wanted to say as he started glaring at me as if I was an enemy. I could see that his hand went over to one of the kitchen knives that was behind the counter as if he was about to go all out against me.

That just brought another smile to my face as I continued what I was saying, "She can go and get the money to repair the bar from the robbers. I noticed that they had a few things hanging from them when I beat them up earlier, so they should have already robbed another place. I'll give you what they had as compensation."

The owner of the bar and the red haired girl were both caught off guard when they heard this.

Neither of them said a single thing as they looked at me as if they were trying to figure out if I was being serious or not.

But I just looked at them with the same smile on my face.

It didn't seem like the owner of the bar wanted his daughter to do this, but the red haired girl clearly had other thoughts as she came out from behind the counter.

The owner looked like he wanted to stop her, but he couldn't since he was still wary of me.

So the red haired girl was able to make her way over to one of the robbers lying on the ground. She moved slowly as if she was afraid that the robber would do something, but he was completely out cold.

In fact, even if he wasn't, he still wouldn't be able to do anything.

The Iron Skin skill that came with my Berserker Class was much stronger than his flimsy body of flesh and blood. Hitting him with it was more than enough to shatter a few bones that he would have fainted from the pain.

Well, there was no pity from me for these robbers since they were robbers in the first place.

Once she started searching, she didn't hold back at all as she started ripping apart his clothes to see if he was hiding anything. Even the smallest thing wouldn't escape her searching hands.

So in the end, everything that the robber had been hiding was pulled out by the red haired girl.

"Tch, it's only this much. I hope the next one has more."

She was quite the feisty girl, I had to admit that.

It didn't take long for her to finish searching through all of the robbers and it seemed that she was quite satisfied with what she received.

Though when she came back, the red haired girl asked, "That's the money from them, but what about you? You're the one that caused this mess in the first place, so shouldn't you pay up?"

Her father had been busy cleaning up after getting me a drink that he wasn't able to stop her in time. So when he reacted, she had already said all of this to his horror.

"Ha, ha, ha, you're quite the feisty one aren't you?" I said while bursting out in laughter.

"This customer, please don't mind my daughter. She's a bit of a free spirit and doesn't know when to keep her mouth closed." The owner of the bar ran out as if he wanted to pull her away again, but the red haired girl remained firm this time as she looked at me with expectant eyes.

With the same smile on my face, I said, "I don't have any money, that's why I'm here in the first place. I was hoping you would tell me if there were any jobs that I could take."

Both the owner of the bar and the red haired girl looked surprised, but then the red haired girl came forward to say, "My name is Vanessa, I can be your exclusive broker if you're willing to work with me."

I couldn't help shaking my head with a faint smile.

At this point, I didn't know if I should call her feisty or just crazy.

But I did like her.
