Power System: Essences and Truths

The Tower runs on a metaphysical power system called Essences and Truths—a layered framework where each individual draws from personal insight, trauma, or potential. It manifests differently for everyone, but the foundation is the same:

1. Revelation Instinct (Veyne's Base Skill)

A rare skill that allows the user to glimpse hidden meanings, true intentions, and forgotten knowledge.

It grows with exposure to deeper truths or by resisting the Tower's manipulations.

Can evolve into branching forms depending on what the user chooses to see or accept.

2. Essences

Abstract representations of what someone has survived, overcome, or consumed.

Can be stolen, devoured, or gifted.

Examples: Essence of Regret, Essence of Betrayal, Essence of Hunger.

3. Truths

Truths are like mental "boss levels"—fragments of universal law or personal realization the Tower exposes a person to.

Accepting a Truth changes the user forever, granting a permanent metaphysical ability.

Dangerous, because they reshape personality or perception.

4. Skills and Powers

Derived from Essences and Truths.

Skills can be enhanced by feeding on challenges, enemies, or abstract concepts within the Tower.

Example: Veyne's new skill Hunger of the Endless lets him consume not just enemies but also memories, moments, and potential abilities—though overuse may destabilize him.
