"You're all teasing me!" Victoria blurted, rolling her eyes in disdain as she crossed her arms, unwilling to let their ridicule pierce her.
"Enough," Damien interjected at last, his voice commanding silence. "You are here now. It is time to train."
He stepped forward until he stood directly before her, his sword lowered but his eyes locked onto hers with an intensity that made her heart skip.
