"He wouldn't tell me," Victoria shot back, her voice edged with unyielding seriousness. Her chin lifted proudly, refusing to waver under his intimidating presence. "But you should. Since we're on this topic now, then tell me. And just so you know…" She crossed her arms tightly across her chest, her glare unwavering. "I am not running a hundred laps in this forest.
