Scp Classification

Primary Containment Classes:

Safe:

Easily and safely contained.

Example: SCP-500 (panacea pills).

Euclid:

Requires more resources or is unpredictable; not always reliably contained.

Example: SCP-173 (the Sculpture).

Keter:

Extremely difficult to contain; procedures are complex or technology is lacking.

Example: SCP-682 (hard-to-destroy reptile).

Secondary/Other Classes:

Neutralized:

No longer anomalous or destroyed.

Example: SCP-1730 (formerly anomalous site).

Explained:

Anomaly is fully understood and explained by science.

Example: SCP-4000 (reclassified after explanation).

Pending:

Not yet assigned a class; under review.

Esoteric/Special Classes (Uncommon or Special Purpose):

Thaumiel:

Used by the Foundation to contain or counter other SCPs.

Example: SCP-2000 (reality-reset machine).

Apollyon:

Cannot be contained; will inevitably cause or is causing a world-ending event.

Example: SCP-3999 (reality-breaking entity).

Archon:

Could be contained, but doing so would cause more harm than good.

Example: SCP-001 (some proposals).

Other Classification Systems:

Disruption Class:

How much the SCP disrupts normalcy (e.g., Vlam, Keneq, Ekhi).

Risk Class:

How dangerous the SCP is (e.g., Notice, Caution, Danger).

These classes help the SCP Foundation decide how to contain, prioritize, and allocate resources for each anomaly

Common SCP Scenario Types and Examples

XK-class end-of-the-world scenario:

Complete destruction of human civilization or the planet.

Example: An unstoppable SCP causes global extinction.

CK-class restructuring scenario:

Reality or history is rewritten or drastically altered.

Example: A reality bender changes the laws of physics or timeline.

GH-class "dead greenhouse" scenario:

Most life on Earth dies, but the planet can still support recovery.

Example: Massive containment breach leaves only small pockets of survivors.

NK-class end-of-the-world scenario:

Global destruction caused by self-replicating material ("grey goo").

Example: Nanomachines or anomalous ink consume the world.

RK-class restructuring scenario:

Non-human life forms outcompete and replace standard Earth species.

Example: Anomalous organisms take over the biosphere.

AK-class madness scenario:

Humanity suffers a mass mental breakdown or loses the ability to function normally.

Example: A memetic SCP spreads uncontrollably, causing insanity.

IK-class collapse-of-global-civilization scenario:

Collapse of civilization due to disaster, but not necessarily extinction.

Example: Asteroid strike destroys infrastructure, billions die, but some survive.

BI-class biological invasion scenario:

Earth is invaded by extraterrestrial or anomalous biological entities.

Example: Alien life forms begin colonizing Earth.

ZK-class reality failure scenario:

Total destruction of reality itself.

Example: Reality is erased or ceases to function.

These scenario types help the SCP Foundation plan for different catastrophic or reality-altering events.
