For a moment, everything seemed to pause. I slowly turned around, and my eyes landed on Rhydian.
'How did he get here so soon?'
"Help us," I whispered.
Rhydian ran, closing the space between us. He slashed the vines blocking his path.
"Aeris, are you alright?" He cupped my face with his hands.
I pulled away. "Can you help us?" I muttered, my body was already exhausted from the emotions and fighting.
I knew my request was selfish… and it would put him in trouble. However, I needed to escape to a place where the fae cannot easily reach.
"I'll do anything for you." He carried me to my feet.
With a wave of his hand, a portal formed in front of us.
"Damon!" I yelled with the last of my strength.
Damon, Mr. Four eyes and Mr. Green eyes, turned to face me.
They made their back towards us, and the vines lashed at them violently, stopping them in their tracks.
