'Golden was here?' I worriedly searched the bed disregarding the pain shooting up my spine. 'What if I had lain on it mistakenly? What if it hurts?'
I removed my blanket, and tossed the pillows aside, but there was no sign of Golden. Tears trickled down my cheeks.
"Princess, what are you looking for?" one of the servants asked worriedly.
"Help look for a golden butterfly." I inhaled nervously, before tugging my hair. 'What if I killed… No way, maybe it is just sleeping somewhere else.' I tried to tell myself it wasn't possible.
"Princess, your window is open." One of the servants called in alarm.
'How was it possible? I had locked the window before going to bed…' I rushed to the window, and to my shock, the window was open.
"Maybe the butterfly flew out of the room through the window." The servant tried to assure me.
My hands weakly rested on the window panel, I looked out into the night, but there was no sign of Golden.
