"Enough! I don't want to talk about it anymore." The tension in the air was replaced by silence.
The King turned to me. "Take her to her room. If she escapes again, I will have your heads." He ordered the guards, who stood by the entrance door.
"No, no, no please, uncle. Don't do this to me!" I stepped back, horrified by the approaching guards.
I frantically ran to my mother, tugging the edge of her sleeve. "Mother, please talk with uncle… please."
The hope in my eyes slowly grew distant. My mother turned her back at me, "This is for your own good, if you grow older you will understand." Her words were cold and emotionless.
The guards grabbed me by my hands. "Princess," they bowed their heads.
I struggled before pulling my hands from their grasp. "I can walk by myself." I snapped at them.
I cast a final look at my family, it seems like they have been planning this for a while and I was the only one who was oblivious to it.
