"Ciara,where are you going"Evette who had just woken up looked at Ciara who was all dressed up about to leave the room.
"I'm going to meet Arkin"
The sleep in Evette's eyes vanished when she heard this.
"You want to go alone?"
"Yes,it's Saturday not many people will be awake by this time"
"Why are you even going?"
"He wants to tell us something "
"He should just text you what he wants to say"
"I told him that he refused, Evette I can handle ..."
"No you can't, even if you could I wouldn't let you,what about your crazy weirdo uncle,what if he sees you're alone and decides to attack you,I'm going to call the others"
Ciara's eyes widened"no don't,this is my business"she grabbed her phone
"No it's not,let go of my phone Ci,you have friends,it's what we do,now if you excuse me I need to message them,where did he tell you to meet him"
"At the largest tree in the garden"
"Good,I've texted them, Aviva and Kyle have seen it I didn't send to Liana if that's what you're asking,we just have to wait for Jude"
"Fine,I'll wait"
"Good,I have to dress up"Evette said wearing a red T-shirt and black cargo pants and black shoes.
Her phone beeped and she looked at it
"Jude said he'll be over in 30 minutes,Arkin will just have to wait"

They all assembled at the tree to see that Arkin was there.
"I see you've arrived and you brought company"he looked at Ciara then to the rest.
"I didn't come here to waste my time, what did you want to tell me about."
"That's bold of you considering I have the information"
All resolve Evette had of controlling her anger went down the drain as she heard this"listen here sparky unless you don't want to be incinerated, you'd better start talking"
Arkin looked as though he had something to say but kept quiet.
"First, something bad is going to happen to this kingdom"this words didn't seem to faze Jude as he had heard it multiple times,he just wanted to know what the danger was.
"Okay,what is the problem"Ciara looked at him.
"That I can't tell,secondly I'm sorry for what is about to happen"
"What's about to hap..."her words were interrupted when the ground opened and chains erupted grabbing them and dragging them down.
From Jude's peripheral vision,he saw Freya running toward them"Freya, run"but it was too late as the chains wrapped around her dragging her down too.
They fell to dark place, when they opened their eyes they saw Arkin talking to someone.
Ciara's eyes instantly widened as she recognized who Arkin was talking too.
"No way"
"Ci is that who I think it is?"
She looked at Evette"Yes it is,my uncle"
Layton stopped talking as he heard them"well,well, look what we have here, you seemed to have woken up"
Ciara was the first to speak"why are we here?"
"Oh,you brought my niece along,how lovely"he walked over to her, taking advantage of the fact she was wrapped in chains to harshly hold her face.
"Let go of her"Evette snapped.
"It's okay E"
Layton stopped as he heard Alaster say something to him.
"Okay, without further delay,I want you boy to tell me where Mila and Ezra are"he looked at Jude.
"The hell are you talking about?"Jude replied coolly which angered Layton.
"Don't play dumb with me,I know you have powers"
Jude almost burst out laughing"okay,it seems like you got the wrong person and people,so can you let us go"
"Or"Layton looked at Ciara,"I can take this chance to kill my beloved niece,that way I'll kill Rielle"
"Who's Rielle?"Ciara asked.
"So you really don't know?"Layton whispered.
Evette attempted blowing a flame breath but nothing happened"what did you do to our powers?"
"That's the blood magic coupled with the chains,it'll make sure you can't use your powers"Layton chuckled.
Ciara finally had enough"look,let my friends go whatever grudge you have with me I'll settle it but you let them go first"
"What the hell are you talking about Ci,we can't leave you"
"You can and you will Evette"
"I don't think they will like to leave when they see my surprise, Arkin bring her in"Jude snapped when he saw who it was"Freya"he muttered before looking at Layton "let her go she has nothing to do with any of this"
"Jude what's happe..."Layton snapped his fingers and the chains tightened around her,she released a scream.
"Don't touch her"Jude was struggling to free himself.
"Or what?"Layton snapped his fingers again and Freya released another scream more pain filled than the last as blood seeped out from her skin.
"I said don't touch her"Jude spoke his voice going several tones lower but Layton snapped his fingers again, Freya seemed to be going unconscious,he threw her flying into a nearby cave.
Something in Jude snapped as he saw this,one second he was chained,the other,he was free as he charged towards Layton throwing a punch that sent him flying back.
"Did he just pause time?"Alaster asked himself seeing that he had been frozen a second ago, Layton looked at them to see that Jude had a created a shadow hand and had ripped the chains freeing his friends.
"Dude, you could do that?"Kyle rubbed his wrist.
"Trust me I couldn't till some seconds ago,you guys go help Freya,I think I can handle Layton"
"Are you sure, you don't know how to fully control your powers will you be alright"Aviva looked at him.
"He'll be fine,I'll help"everyone turned to look at Ciara before nodding then running towards the cave.
"I'm excited to see how you both will fare against my blood magic and chain magic combined"he pointed a finger at them and chains shot out but they dodged flawlessly.
"This whole power thing is new to me,I don't know how to use time magic but shadow magic seems easier" Jude thought to himself.
The next thing he knew Layton had wrapped up Ciara in his chains and was stopping her from using her magic.
"Let her go"he moved towards her but Layton stopped him,"one more step boy,and those chains will restrict so much she'll die"Jude stopped in his tracks as he heard this.
"Let me go"
"Now,now dear niece, don't struggle it'll be for your own good" Layton said as the chains wrapped around her tightened.
"Let.me.go"Ciara shouted and a force shot through her,her head shot backwards and an icy blue beam shot out from her eyes,her black hair turned icy blue before turning black once more and her head came to it's normal position.
"I see you've awoken Rielle"Alaster whispered to himself before breaking into a hysterical laughter.
Almost immediately a large ice dragon shot towards Layton's direction leaving Jude surprised as he didn't know she could do that.
Just when the dragon was about to smash through him,he disappeared and the dragon smashed into the wall instead.
The chains wrapping Ciara disappeared and she looked at where Layton had been "he disappeared."
Jude saw her stumble a bit before she started falling,he ran up to her wrapping his hands around her waist, steadying her.
Her senses were shutting off,the last thing she heard was a voice telling her she was okay before everything went black.
Jude carried her bridal style as the Kyle, Evette and Aviva ran up to him,upon seeing Ciara, Evette gasped.
"What happened to her?"
"She'll be fine,the blood magic must have been too much for her"Jude replied,his eyes searched for his sister when he finally saw her,he seemed relieved.
"Freya,are you alright?"
"Yes I'm fine thanks to all of you,the wounds will heal and it'll be as if nothing ever happened"she beamed at him.
"Good,let's go"
"I'll check the wind for a way back to the arena hopefully no one will know we were gone"
"You can do that?"Kyle asked surprised.
Aviva nodded pointing to the right, "follow me everyone, we'll be there in around 45 minutes"and they trailed behind her.
