Anna's POV
Logan's lips curved into an easy smile, his good arm casually draped over the back of the sofa across from my desk.
"Don't worry about that. With Catherine Murphy joining in, this project looks promising. I'm getting a great deal here, actually. You wouldn't deny me this opportunity, would you?"
I returned his smile, feeling a wave of warmth mingled with concern. "That's not what I meant. Every investment carries risks. I just want you to be careful. Do your parents approve?"
"Of course they do," Logan replied with a casual wave of his hand. "Doris said if the Murphy heiress is partnering with you, it can't be a mistake. She actually rushed me over here to sign before someone else takes the spot."
I couldn't help but laugh. In the past, I would have approached this with extreme caution. But now, with the Porter family showing interest in Skylake District, bringing Logan on board didn't seem like a bad idea.
