"Why are you angry?" Xiao Yan chuckled, suddenly producing a small jade bottle in his hand.
"Take this Yin-Yang Marrow Refining Pill. Your aptitude should improve significantly. Not a genius, but you'll rank among the elite."
Yafei blinked at the jade bottle, her eyes softening and slightly reddening.
"Eat it. This way, I won't have to help you raise your cultivation every day," Xiao Yan said earnestly, placing the pill in her hands.
"I don't want it!" Yafei suddenly, tearfully returned the pill.
"Hey! Woman, don't be ungrateful!" Xiao Yan glared. He had painstakingly refined the pill, and she was dismissing it? That was disrespecting his efforts.

Creak. The courtyard door opened. Mitel Teng Shan appeared, a mysterious smile on his face, and behind him was an older man with a scarred face.
The old man froze seeing Yafei, but relaxed slightly upon seeing Xiao Yan beside her, then said, "So it's you!"
Hai Bodong's astonished gaze met Xiao Yan's cheerful smile. "Old man, we meet again!"
"Hai… Hai Elder, you know Lord Xiao Yan?" Teng Shan looked surprised.
"Of course! I returned safely thanks to this young friend," Hai Bodong said with a smile, bowing to Xiao Yan.
"My pleasure," Xiao Yan replied casually, then looked at Teng Shan. "Elder Teng Shan, now that Hai Elder has returned to the Gamma Empire, aren't you going to update him on the capital's current situation?"
Teng Shan paused, but Xiao Yan's smile eased his mind.
"Hai Elder, it seems the clan head has something to discuss with Lord Xiao Yan. Let us step aside and properly introduce the capital's current state."
"That's fine," Hai Bodong said, understanding immediately. He nodded at Yafei and followed Teng Shan.
Once they left, Yafei looked at Xiao Yan in confusion. "That Hai Elder… is he really the strongest clan head of the Mitel family?"
"Yes," Xiao Yan smiled. "I personally rescued him from the Tagar Desert to be your aide."
At his words, Yafei's eyes, already filled with emotion, became even more dreamy, and she clung to him.
