but right as the darkness consumes me I feel a warmth inside me my body returns to me my vision brightens and I am standing straight up. I look around me and it is a goldish yellow and there is a towering figure that seems to be split down the middle. Half a demon and half an Angel there is a giant glowing halo above their head and 2 giant horns coming from either side. The figure also has giant wings one that looks like a white birds and the other looks like a red dragons wing its face is incomprehensible. The figure then speaks "hello child, I am the god of balance. I have summoned you here because I wish for you to become my avatar. The world is currently unbalanced with evil being to prominent! The demon lord is too powerful and is eliminating too much good and without good there is no evil and only anarchy. Because there is no such thing as evil only the absence of good. But with that being said I need the world to be neutral and although I can't directly interfere I will use you to balance the world." As the being ends his speech I exclaim "I would be honored to become your avatar and balance the world for you!" Although I wish I could say that with sarcasm it was my only choice it was that or I died. Also this being seemed to be ancient and wise and above all else extremely powerful. He then says "I will now send you back to your realm." Then in a swirl of light I was teleported back to the forest. As I see the bodies of my comrades now ransacked of their clothes and belongings I fall to my knees and cry. They were all kind to me and I never showed any kindness back just sassy remarks and rude ass comments I pledged to myself that I would never do anything like I did again. I quickly collect the herbs I needed for the quest.
As I return to the guild the looks I got before vanished only looks of pity and disappointment from the adventurers and also the table of adventurers we saw before only contained one adventurer a young girl that seemed to be depressed. I walk up to the guild lady and the look on her face is pity and sadness for how I feel. She knows the pain I'm going through and then she says "I'm really sorry... especially for your first mission... if you don't mind me asking what happened?" I tell her about everything what happened up to the god part I will keep that to myself. As I finish telling her about it she says "that must have been extremely difficult. We will make sure to inform the kingdom and give you just compensation for your troubles..." after giving her the herbs she gives me 300 silver coins.
