"What?!" exclaimed Robin. "What do you mean, not who we thought they were?"
"It happened with both Samantha and Katie's and her moms."
"But I met Lorie. She's nice. She even offered to be my surrogate mom."
"Did she seem straight-laced, proper, lady-like?"
"No, she seems like a fun mom, the kind that would party with your friends."
"She is, but she acted straight-laced for the last ten years because she was worried she would have a bad influence on Samantha. Then during our little interview, she asked if she could have sex with me. Needless to say Samantha was surprised."
"But it worked out in the end. She joined your outer circle."
"Yes, it did, with Samantha's mom, but not so much with Katie's."

"She learned her mom had never loved her dad and was just staying with him for his money."

"I'm not saying you'll learn your grandparents are horrible people. Just that you may learn something about them that changes your view of who they are."
