Jack could sense from Isabella's soul that she wanted to be dominated by him, and wanted to devote herself to him. But what he'd done when he first formed their soul bond went far beyond that. His soul was practically smothering her, pressing down on her like the hand of a giant squashing her into the ground.
He pulled her closer to him, about the same distance as Lorie and Nora, then relaxed his grip on her soul.
He still gripped her soul, but adjusted the pressure so that she wasn't being smothered anymore. She wanted him to have unfettered access to her body and her mind, so he didn't adjust his mental connection to her.
As he finalized the changes, he felt her physically relax. Tension he didn't know she had was finally flowing out of her.
She wrapped her arms and legs around him and started crying.
"Thank you, Jack. Thank you. Oh, god that feels so much better. I thought I was going to die if you didn't touch me or command me or do something to me."
