"Were you not paying attention?" said Naoko to Evalyn. "We can feel his emotions. Just like he can feel ours. So we know he genuinely cares about it. I know he sees me as more than just a fuck toy because I know what he's feeling when he looks at me."
The other girls nodded, especially Madison, who had more reason than any of the other girls to appreciate the significance of their soul bonds.
"I don't know," said Miranda. "If he soul bonds Analise and Robin, that will make seven. Seven girls, seven days of the week. Kind of symmetrical. If we let her join our inner circle, it will break that symmetry."
"I don't think she has much in common with the rest of us. It seems like all she's interested in is her career and popularity," said Samantha. "So I agree that she doesn't qualify for Jack's inner circle. As for servant or outer circle, I honestly don't see much difference between the two."
