Chapter 1 - NARAKA ESCAPE

Naraka was a man who worked as a teacher at one of the most prestigious colleges in Japan. He lived alone in an apartment whose rent was paid by the college.

On a Tuesday morning, Naraka went to work on his bicycle as usual. He arrived at the college and began his class. During the lesson, a student asked to go to the bathroom. Naraka allowed him, on the condition that he not be long.

Ten minutes passed, and the student had not returned. Naraka went to the restroom to look for him. What he saw shocked him—the student was raping a girl from the same college.

Overwhelmed by rage, Naraka attacked the student, beating him violently, as memories of his daughter's tragic death flashed through his mind. When he snapped out of it, the student lay motionless, covered in blood.

Naraka stepped back in shock, realizing what he had done. The girl looked at him with sadness in her eyes and said, "Let's run away before the police come."

Still in a daze, Naraka stared at his blood-stained hands and muttered, "No... I didn't kill him... He killed himself."

His thoughts were interrupted when the principal entered the restroom to check if it was empty. Out of panic and fear that she would report him, Naraka struck her as well. He then took the girl and boarded a train heading to the rural city of Okizu, where his family owned an old house. There, they would hide until they could figure out what to do next.

On the train, Naraka spoke with the girl, whose name was Nina. He learned that her family neglected her and showed her no care, which is why she had moved out to live alone.

Naraka noticed how much she resembled his deceased daughter. He told her so, but refused to reveal more about his personal life.

When they arrived at their destination, they found the old family house deep in a dark forest, surrounded by fields. It was barely habitable, but for some unknown reason, Naraka felt a strange sense of comfort there.

On the first day, they tried to repair what they could. They shared some food Naraka had packed, then went to sleep.

In the middle of the night, Naraka heard footsteps in Nina's room. He panicked and rushed in—but found no one there. Uneasy, he looked around, and to his horror, he found Nina lying dead, surrounded by candles, in a way he had seen before.

Naraka collapsed in tears—until he suddenly felt a hand touch him from behind
