The day was slowly growing late as I found myself walking around the town with Rhea by my side.
"Why…" I asked, watching those downward gazes she let out for a moment. I mean, from what I could tell she was pretty close to Elara, but I doubt Elara knows. The news was also shocking for me, since the Lycan King's son never mentioned it either. The two of them had chosen not to disclose it… even though I wondered why.
"Excuses wouldn't truly be enough, Alpha Kieran…" I heard Rhea say softly. "We both just decided to keep it a secret for a while…" she admitted. "I'm really sorry… but please don't be—" she was saying at least, not before I cut in.
"I shouldn't be the one you should be apologizing to," I said, catching her gaze.
"What?" she whispered.
"Go tell her… Elara." I replied.
