Stacie couldn't focus at the store.
"Where the hell is this guy?" She dialed his number but he wasn't picking. She watched him opening the glass door and heading to his duty post. She blocked his way.
"I have something to tell you." She said with a smile.
"Woah, is that a good morning from you?" He pushed her slightly and placed his bag on his working table.
"Listen to this first. I've just been admitted to the college of my dreams! To finish up my studies!" She jumped.
"Wow. Great news." He was happy for her.
"Would you please... Return to your duty post now because I have a lot of work to do?"
"Work?" She frowned.
"It doesn't look like people are gonna come here anyway." She went to sit beside him.
"So...how's your sis? Did she argue with you again?"
"She didn't. I'm thinking of signing her up for therapy, when I get paid." He replied her.
"Hmm, sounds like a good idea."
"But don't you think Isla is wrong? Even if she wants your brother so badly, she should at least give us the little girl. After all, my sister won the case!"
"But she abandoned this girl for six years and eloped with a rich man! She doesn't give a damn about Dora." Stacie disagreed with him.
"Now she's ready to take full responsibility of her daughter. Talk to your brother. Give her another chance. If my sister gets Dora back, she might stop acting like a psycho." Jayden continued.
"No way. If you really like me as you said it, you should support whatever I want. And if you don't, stop talking to me. Don't tell me to talk to my brother for you and your wicked sister." Stacie walked away and went to her duty post. Only a glass door separated them.
"Hi, Stace!!!" Ariel greeted her and retired on her desk, just beside Stacie.
"Why aren't you responding? Someone angered you?"
"Yeah. Jayden. How dare he try to change my mind about Talia Evans?"
"Talia Evans? How is Jayden connected to that bitch?" Ariel asked with gritted teeth.
"She's his sister. I never knew."
"Wow. Unbelievable. So he's supporting that his sister deserves your brother and his daughter. Hell no. If hes truly in love with you, he shouldn't convince you to do what you're against!" Ariel said.
"Yeah. Since he told me Talia Evans was his sister, I just knew that the relationship couldn't work out." Stacie spoke sadly as she wrote the store records, avoiding eye contact with Ariel.
"I'm sorry, girl. If I could do something, I would. Anyways, big congrats on your admission!!!" Ariel tried to cheer her up.
"Yeah thanks." She smiled shortly.
★★★
"The job's done." Talia laughed wickedly.
"How dare he? Telling me to stay away from Isla Sinclair? He's just an ex! What makes him think he's important?"
"Now you're gone, and after you, Isla Sinclair is next." She smirked before leaving the city, running as fast as her legs could carry her.
Stacie ran, ran and ran.
"Stop right there, you little rat!" She continued, screaming for help until she found herself sinking into the dark and deep of the forest.
There were big trees and a heavy wind blew. Stacie's heels were competing with the strong forest wind.
She felt herself hit against a hard chest. She sighed and fainted.
"Wha...what...what am I doing here?" She sat up, looking around the well furnished bedroom.
A shirtless guy entered and when she itched her eyes a little, she realized it was Jayden.
"What the..." Her eyes widened at his beautiful physique.
"How did I get here?!!!!" She screamed at him.
"You were in trouble. Some bulldogs were chasing you. Remember??" She recalled that she was trying to steal some special fruits from a penthouse's mini garden.
"Oh that."
"Are you a kleptomaniac?"
"Klepto....are you insane? How dare you call me that? Do you know I'm annoyed with you? All because you were saying Isla was wrong and Talia is right. Excuse me, this can't work." She flung the sheets and wanted to leave the room but Jayden blocked her.
"Wait...this is Talia's house right? Please don't allow her to find me here. I don't want to beat her up."
"Hah!" Jayden laughed.
"I don't think I'll allow you guys to wrestle." She pushed him and felt her hand boil. She had just touched his bare chest.
Ackkk.
"Stacie." He held his wrist.
"I'm sorry for what I said at the store earlier today. Talia and I spoke and I realized she was the wrong one here. If I can afford her therapy, some psychologists can discuss with her and change her mindset." Jayden spoke. She stared at those genuine eyes again.
"Stacie, you're not my first, and I don't want to lose you. I've fallen for several girls, but you - I'm scared to lose you. I want us to get even closer. Please, Stace. Don't be mad at me."
"Like I said, I won't touch you. Without your permission."
He cupped her cheeks gently and she smiled, whispering.
"Your arms are so big. I'm speechless." She bit her lip in embarrassment.
He laughed shyly and let her go.
"What would you like to eat?"
"I told you - I want to leave!"
"Stacie, Talia has gone for a modeling trip with the nail agency and won't be back tonight. You can sleep over."
"Sleepover? Please don't do the trouble...."
"You can sleep in another room if you don't want us together." Jayden offered her another room in the house, closest to Talia's dressing room.
"Oh, thanks. I'll prefer staying here. Thank you so much for saving me, Jayden. If those dogs had caught me, I would have been dead by now." She thanked him again.
"I can't let that happen, Stacie."
"Let me help with a delicious dinner." She followed him to the kitchen, where they cooked, cleaned, chatted and laughed.
"Hmm! Extremely sumptuous!" Jayden complimented as he ate.
"Of course, I cooked it."
"It's really yummy."
"After my 2-year course, I'll be enrolling in a culinary school."
"Woah. You're really serious about your education stuff. I'm proud of you." She smiled shyly.
"I know, right. I want to make a lot with my qualifications in the future. And the future starts now!" Jayden's phone buzzed and his smile disappeared when he saw the caller ID.
"Who? Talia?" Stacie was curious but he shook his head.
"Miss. Adelle."
"Good evening..."
"WHAT THE FUCK? Nothing is good about the evening! Didn't you know it's your night shift? Customers are yelling at the door! What is wrong with you? They are furious! They are boiling!" Adelle thundered.
"Come over here, you blockhead!"
"You're such a loser. Only nonentities like you think there's a relaxation time at the store. What should we expect? Proud brother of Talia Evans, who thinks he can manage his life as a peasant. Is this how you manage your life? By skipping work?"
"I'm sorry, Miss. Adelle. I'll be there as fast as possible and..." Stacie snatched the phone.
"Miss. Adelle, sorry to tell you that Jayden won't be available for his shift today. He is having a great time, with me." Jayden's eyes widened.
"What are you...."
"We'll clock back tomorrow. Bye." Stacie hung up.
"Stacie!!"
"Why are you yelling? How dare she call you, and hurl words at you? I won't allow anyone to insult your personality."
"Just because you're not on duty, doesn't mean you can stop me from going on my night shift."
"Jayden Evans. I want you to stay here with me." She leaned closer and sat on his lap. His heart began racing and his eyes were on her plump, pink lips. He couldn't control himself. Her stare was adding more to his arousal.
"Stand up, Stacie." He didn't want to do anything she wouldn't like.
"Do it, Jay. I know you badly want to."
"Stand up, I need to do these dishes."
"We'll clean them up together." She stood up and packed all the dishes. She noticed he was staring at her as she washed them up. He was holding one dish all along.
"Give me that. Why are you staring?" She snatched the plate and he smiled.
"You're just... undeniably beautiful."
"You've been shirtless for hours now. I should be the one staring." She said and winked. He chuckled.
"I've found the one." He thought within himself.
After watching a thriller movie, they proceeded to eating desserts, laughing and discussing memories of while they were in the boarding school.
Stacie stared at the wall clock and realized it was pretty late.
"I guess, it's time to go to bed now. We've been here for long enough." She suggested.
They walked upstairs together.
"Is there a shower in there?" She asked and he nodded.
"Thank you." She went into her room, stripped herself and opened the bathroom.
She closed her eyes as the water ran down her body.
"Jayden is seriously the best to be with. He's so loving, cute, caring, patient, sexy. But he doesn't deserve what life gives him." Stacie thought inwardly, as she smiled.
★★★★★NEXT DAY★★★★★
Stacie walked into Talia's dressing room, admiring at her luxury closet.
"Wow." She touched each and every outfit, admiring the treasure surrounding it.
As she was about to try on a dress, she heard some noises in the kitchen and she left the room, walking downstairs and trying to act cool.
"Good morning." She greeted him. He was cooking and also preparing to go to work.
"You're busy." He didn't respond. She just sat on the kitchen desk.
"Good morning, Stacie. Did you have a good sleep?" She nodded. When Stacie closed her eyes and stretched, his eyes fell on her n!pples, sticking out of the crop top. He looked away before she noticed.
"I have good news too, Stace. I've also been admitted to the same college. I wrote the exam online just last night, and in a flash, I got the admission. Your name was also on the top students list." Stacie squealed happily and did a happy dance on seat.
"Congratulations, Jayden. I'm so happy for you. Is it a 2-year course too?" Jayden didn't even hear her asking because he was staring at her boobs that swayed with the big and rosy nips.
"Jayden..." She had noticed him and he blinked away.
"No, Stacie. It's actually a 3-year course."
"Okay. Best of luck." She jumped off the desk to stand and the bounce added to Jayden's arousal.
"I think I need to put on a bra." Stacie chuckled and touched his cheeks, making fun of him. He pinned her to the kitchen desk, and without hesitation, he slammed his lips on hers, kissing her passionately.
Stacie's eyes widened, but she responded to the kiss, slowly and softly. His hands slid down her back and stayed on her lower waist, caressing her. After about a minute, Jayden broke the kiss to catch their breaths.
"You didn't ask me before we kissed. You broke your promise. You're a jerk!" She hit him playfully.
"Sorry Stace, I was out of control." Before she could speak, he locked her again. This time, only a pinch from Stacie separated them both.
"Owww!" They laughed.
The door burst open and they were startled.
