Harry and Hermione find everyone awake when they come out front. They find all the children watching TV. "Must be interesting." Hermione says, causing several of them to jump.
"Mum!" Clover yells as she gets up and runs to Hermione, her red hair braided into a pair of pigtails.
Hermione bends down as Clover runs toward her and hugs the girl, then picks her up. "Who braided your hair?" She asks.
"Sissy." Clover answers.
Hermione chuckles slightly as she asks. "Which one?"
"Liz." Clover answers pointing to Eliza.
Eliza looks up. "She was complaining about her hair being in her face. So I told if she sat still I could fix it."
"I think it's adorable." Hermione says.
"Dorable." Clover says.
Hermione smiles and kisses Clover's cheek before putting her down. "Go watch TV with your siblings, Daddy and I still need to eat breakfast."
Clover runs back to the others.
#####
"Mum!" Eliza shouts as she enters the small apartment. "We're home!"
"And we brought company!" Lotte adds.
Moira comes from one of the back rooms. "Look at you two!" She hugs Lotte and Eliza. "I missed you both."
"We missed you too." Eliza and Lotte say in unison.
Moira breaks the hug then stands, looking at Harry and Hermione. "So, you wanted to talk about something?"
Hermione nods. "Did you take Muggle Studies when you were in Hogwarts?"
"No, but one of my dorm mates did." Moira answers. "I looked at her book, talk about useless."
"We're looking to change that." Harry says. "We thought you might be able to help us."
"How?" Moira asks.
"You've lived in the muggle world longer than any witch or wizard I know." Hermione says.
"How can I help?" Moira asks.
Hermione pulls out a copy of her book: A Magical's Guide to the Muggle World, and hands it to Moira. "I'm hoping you can help me turn this into a textbook."
Moira opens the book and leafs through it. "I think we can do that.*
"We're looking at fully redoing muggle studies as quickly as possible." Harry explains.
"I think if we all work together we can have the book ready before the next school year." Hermione says.
"Who's going to teach the class?" Moira asks.
"That's the other reason we're here." Harry answers.
"We were hoping you would." Hermione says.
"I can't teach, I never finished Hogwarts myself." Moira says.
"As long as the Headmistress and the governors approve a teacher then exceptions can be made." Hermione explains.
"The Headmistress has decided to leave the decision of what's to happen to Muggle Studies to the governors." Harry states. "We are two of those governors, and have the full support of the other two."
"I'm honored, but why me?" Moira asks.
"Your children told us about your situation." Hermione answers. "We want to help."
"What do you mean?" Moira asks.
"You know that you were not in this country legally." Harry answers.
"Umbridge did that to me." Moira says. "She had me dumped in the street after they wiped my memory."
Hermione nods. "We've already had the Ministry fix the records so you're here legally."
"Now we want to get your children away from their stepmother." Harry says.
"Their father will fight for them." Moira says.
"We have a plan for that." Hermione answers.
=== June 22, 1998 ===
Harry and Hermione walk into Ted's muggle office followed by Moira, Eliza and Lotte. Ted immediately stands up from behind his desk. "Moira, girls, it's nice to see you all again." Ted says.
Moira nods. "Thanks for agreeing to meet us on the muggle side."
Ted smiles. "It's not a problem. That's one of the reasons I keep this office here."
"So, tell me about this plan to keep my ex-husband and his new wife away from the girls." Moira says.
Ted sits and motions for them to follow suit. Once everyone is seated he starts talking. "We charge him with endangering a magical child, two of them actually."
"What's involved with that?" Moira asks.
"A specialist will come talk to the girls and copy the memories of how their stepmother treats them." Ted explains. "Since their father is not discouraging the treatment, and isn't aware of the magical world that should be enough."
"Enough for what?" Moira asks.
"The obliviators to come and wipe any memory of the children from their father and stepmother." Ted answers.
"They'll just forget we exist?" Eliza asks.
Ted nods. "It would be the best way to make sure you never have to see your stepmom again."
"I'm good with that." Lotte says.
"He's your father." Moira says.
"We told we didn't want her bathing us, or her dressing us." Eliza says. "Yet he let her continue doing just that."
"If we complained he'd threaten to stop paying for the apartment and turn you in." Lotte says.
"Then there's the photos." Eliza says.
"He gave me copies of the family photos." Moira says.
"There's other photos." Lotte says.
"Excuse me?" Hermione asks, her eyes glowing already. "What kind of photos?"
"Photos of just us." Eliza says.
"From angles you could see up her skirts." Lotte says, both girls staring at the ground.
Hermione growls. "I'll kill her."
"Missus Potter," Ted says in a calming voice. "That won't be necessary.*
"She can't get away with this!" Hermione exclaims.
"She won't." Ted says. "There's procedures for situations like this. I promise that she will be punished for what she did, and he will get punished as an accessory."
"The only problem is their father is paying for my apartment." Moira says.
"Even if you turn down our offer of employment we'll pay whatever you need until you can make it on your own." Harry says.
"Why would you do that?" Moira asks.
"Because we care about what happens to Eliza and Lotte." Hermione answers.
Moira nods. "Then let's do this." Eliza and Lotte nods in response.
#####
A short time later, they've all moved upstairs and are sitting in a rough circle when the crack of apparition announces the arrival of a woman in white robes. "Hello everyone," she immediately says as everyone stares at her. "My name is Florence."
"Florence and I went to Hogwarts together." Ted explains. "She's a mediwitch that works with the aurors."
"Are you the one that's going to copy our memories?" Eliza asks.
"I am." Florence says.
"You'll have to see everything?" Lotte asks, obviously scared.
Florence nods. "If you would like I can set a marker in my mind so that when I'm done I can wipe my memory so that only the copy exists."
Eliza looks at Lotte. *That's up to you." Eliza says.
"You can choose if you want to remember or not." Lotte says.
"Very well." Florence says. "Miss Williams, do I have your permission to do this?"
"You do." Moira says.
"Who first then?" Florence says.
Eliza and Lotte both stand up, grabbing each other's hand. *We go together." Eliza says and the three of them walk into a side room.
#####
An hour or so later Florence comes out of the room. "I've got what I need." She says.
"How are the girls?" Moira asks.
"I gave them each a calming draught and they drifted off to sleep." Florence answers. "I would let them sleep it off."
"Thank you for your help." Moira says.
"I'm glad I got involved before it got worse." Florence says.
"So what happens now?" Harry asks.
"I will file my report that gets attached to the paperwork Ted filed yesterday. That then goes to the aurors who will send someone to search for any physical evidence. If there's physical evidence it'll be altered so they can't tell the identity of the children and given to the muggle police." Florence answers.
"Would it help any if you were to deliver your report directly to Madam Bones?" Hermione asks.
"It would speed up the process significantly." Florence admits.
Hermione holds out her hand. "She's in her office at the Ministry, I can take you there."
"I thought the Ministry was warded against apparition." Florence says as she takes Hermione's hand.
"It very much is." Hermione replies.
"Then how are we going to apparate there?" Florence asks, confused.
"The very nature of wards have a fundamental flaw." Hermione explains.
"Of course, it's well known that the person who creates wards has access to them." Florence says.
"That's correct." Hermione says. "During the fight with the Death Eaters the previous wards were destroyed. I erected the new wards." Hermione says as they vanish only to reappear outside the door to Amelia's office. She raps on the door.
"Enter!" Amelia yells. Hermione enters with Florence. "Missus Potter, what are you doing here? And who is this with you?"
"My name is Florence Trouveur, I'm a mediwitch and I have an important report for you." Florence walks to Amelia's desk and lays the report on the desk along with two silvery vials of memories.
Amelia picks up the report and looks at the first page. She gets up, grabbing the report and memories as she does. "Fudge needs to see this."
"He's in his office." Hermione says.
"You two wait here." Amelia says.
#####
Some time later, Amelia walks back into the room. "Madam Bones?" Hermione asks, wearily.
"Missus Potter, I forgot you were here." Amelia says, obviously tired. "You should go home."
"Is everything okay?" Hermione asks, concerned.
Amelia sighs. "Fudge asked me to personally investigate the matter you brought to our attention." She opens up one of the drawers of her desk. From the drawer she pulls a bottle of fire whiskey and a glass. She then proceeds to pour a glass. "I'd offer you some, but I don't have another glass." She drinks the glass then pours another.
Hermione conjures a pair of glasses, fills one, and offers it to Florence who takes it. Hermione then pours herself a glass and drinks. "What happened?"
"There was evidence that they had been doing far worse things to other girls." Amelia answers as she downs the glass of fire whiskey in her hand.
The glass in Hermione's hand shatters. "They what?" She growls.
"Missus Potter, you need to calm down." Florence says.
"They hurt children." Hermione exclaims.
"Yes, and now they can't hurt anymore." Amelia says as she pours another glass of fire whiskey then pauses to drink it. "Ever."

Harry and Hermione are watching Shannon and Gabrielle play with their children when Eliza and Lotte say hi as they run past them.
"Your mum let us in." Moira says from behind them. "I hope you don't mind."
"Are you kidding?" Harry asks. "Our children love them, the younger ones have adopted them as pseudo-siblings."
"Do they babysit for you a lot?" Moira asks.
"Yes, and not just us." Hermione answers. "We're friends with a few other couples who have children all about the same age as our triplets. They were constantly helping with all of them."
Moira nods. "I came over here to talk to you about something else."
"Oh?" Harry asks.
"I read your book, and made some notes." Moira answers as she reaches into her clothes and pulls a miniature box out and her wand. Once she enlarges the box it takes up most of the table. Inside the box is several three-ring binders.
Hermione squeals happily. "Feedback!"
Harry just shakes his head as they start discussing the notes.
#####
Night settles in, a stack of pizza boxes sits on the ground waiting to be taken to the rubbish bin. "And that's it." Moira says as she shows the box is now empty.
"I'm surprised I missed so much." Hermione says as she stares at the stack of binders sitting on the table.
"What you did was create a reference guide to the muggle world." Moira says. "Now, we're trying to create a textbook. There's a big difference."
Hermione nods. "With your notes I think you're well on your way of doing that."
"You want me to write it?" Moira asks.
"I can't imagine anyone would do better." Hermione says.
"Well, if I'm going to teach the subject I might as well write the book." Moira says. "Though I'll need some supplies."
"We'll get you whatever you need." Harry says.
"I'll make a list." Moira says, then looks at her watch. "We really should be heading home."
"You could stay the night." Hermione says. "We have an empty room."
"What about Eliza and Lotte?" Moira asks.
"I set up a room for them the other night, everything is still there." Harry says.
"The house can't be that big." Moira says.
"My parents have had it magically extended, twice." Hermione says.
Moira laughs. "Somehow that doesn't surprise me.'
=== June 28, 1998 ===
Moira steps into the kitchen to find Harry standing at the stove, he turns around and places a stack of pancakes on the table.
Shannon, Gabrielle and Eliza each grab a pancake only to rip them into small pieces and place them on a plate in front of one of the triplets.
Harry places a plate of bacon on the table and once again the three of them break up a piece of bacon and put it on the plate for the youngest Potters.
"You've done this before." Moira remarks as she watches Rose and Iris each take a pancake and bacon.
"Every morning at Hogwarts." Lotte says.
"Except with considerably more chaos." Eliza says.
Moira nods. "I remember Hogwarts meals weren't exactly orderly when I was there. I can't imagine toddlers making it any better."
"Once we got a system going it wasn't too bad." Shannon says. "Usually, Harry and Hermione would get breakfast for Rose and Iris. Meanwhile three of us would help the triplets, the fourth would go over to the Weasleys and help with their triplets."
"Ah, I see." Moira says. "I assume that would be why you aren't grabbing any food Lotte?"
Lotte nods. "I'll get some when my friends do, it's only fair."
#####
Hermione and Moira leave to go shopping right after breakfast. Now fairly late in the day the fort opens and Hermione enters followed by Moira. "How'd it go?" Harry asks.
"We got everything." Hermione says. *The plan is to set one of the rooms up as an office so we can work on it."
"Good idea." Harry says. "Let's get it set up."
"While you're doing that I'm going to take the girls home so we can pack." Moira says.
"Pack?" Eliza asks as she comes into the room.
Moira nods. "We're going to stay here for the rest of the summer."
"Yay!" Eliza exclaims then runs off to get Lotte.
"Sounds like they're good with that idea." Harry jokes.
=== July, 17 1998 ===
Harry is working on the evening meal when Hermione and Moira step into the kitchen. "We did it!" Hermione exclaims as she sets a large binder on the table.
"Is that the rough draft of the textbook?" Harry asks as he glances over at the full binder.
"It is." Moira says. "I have to say we're quite proud of it."
"As you both should be." Harry says as he turns his attention back to cooking.
"Where are the kids? I want to tell them." Hermione says.
"Your parents took them to the park, they should be home in about 40 minutes." Harry says.
"In that case I'm going to go write a letter to the Headmistress asking her when we can come show her the book" Moira says then heads off.
Hermione comes over and kisses Harry. "Have Winky finish dinner, I have other plans for you."
=== July 20, 1998 ===
McGonagall is sitting at her desk going over the ledgers for the upcoming year when her fireplace flares up. Hermione steps through the fireplace followed by Moira.
McGonagall puts the ledger up as Hermione steps towards her. "Minerva McGonagall, Headmistress of Hogwarts, I'd like to introduce you to your new Muggle Studies professor: Moira Williams."
"Good morning, Headmistress." Moira says.
"Good morning, Miss Williams." McGonagall replies. "It's good to finally meet you again."
"It feels good to be back." Moira says. "Yet weird, since I didn't finish"
"Missus Potter mentioned that you felt odd because of that." McGonagall says. "So if you would like the other professors have all said that they would be more than happy to spend time tutoring you so you can finish."
"Thank you!" Moira says excitedly. "If I can find the time I'll take them up on that."
"Me and Harry will help." Hermione says.
"So, I assume that means you are taking me up on my offer?" McGonagall asks.
Hermione nods. "I feel like I'd miss too much with the kids if I didn't."
"Good," McGonagall says, then clears her throat. "Now I believe your letter said you had a book you wanted me to approve."
"Here you go." Moira says as she places the binder on her desk.
McGonagall opens the binder and starts going through it. "This looks very good."
"Thank you." They both reply.
McGonagall closes the book. "So, do you have a lesson plan?"
"Here," Moira says as she hands McGonagall a smaller binder.
McGonagall looks through the binder. "This is very well done for someone that's never taught before."
Moira blushes slightly. "As a little girl I wanted to be a teacher. I would set up my stuffed animals and give them lessons."
McGonagall chuckles. "You'll find actual students a little more disruptive."
"That was Mister Bear, he was always interrupting me and making rude comments." Moira says. "He sat in the corner a lot."
"I think you're as ready as you can be." McGonagall says. "If you can get this book printed before the end of the month I'll put it on the required list for your class."
