===December 24 1994===
Hermione leans against Harry on one side of the compartment while on the other side Ginny is asleep leaning against Luna. "Thank you for letting us come celebrate Christmas with you." Luna says.
"Ginny's part of the family now, and she wants you to come." Harry says.
"Besides it's Christmas, the more the merrier." Hermione says.
"Where's Amanda?" Luna asks.
"She decided to stay since Draco is staying." Hermione answers and they nod.
"So how mad was Dumbledore last night?" Ginny asks.
"Don't know, didn't talk to him." Harry answers, "but I really don't care. I said what needed to be said. Even with concealment charms, we wouldn't have been able to hide the pregnancy forever."
"Is the baby moving yet?" Ginny asks.
"If she is, I can't tell. Should really start feeling it by the middle of February at the latest." Hermione answers. "I'm just glad the nausea seems to have gone away."
"I bet." Luna says.

They get off the train and find Hermione's parents. Helen gives Hermione a huge hug once they're together. "I can't believe it, my baby's having a baby."
"I really expected better from you two." Richard chides. "Married less than two months and you get pregnant."
"Dad, we literally used every precaution except not having sex." Hermione explains. "Magic wanted this to happen."
"Why would magic want you pregnant?" Richard asks.
"So the Ravenclaw line doesn't end. That's why I was positive I was having a girl long before Pomfrey confirmed it." Hermione explains.
"Did she confirm it with an ultrasound?" Helen asks.
"They don't have anything like that." Hermione answers. "They have a spell that lets you know the sex of the baby. She used it confirming a girl."
Helen nods. "Good thing I made younan appointment with my gynecologist/obstetrician for Friday."
Hermione smiles. "Thank you."
"Come on, let's get you all home."
They all get in the car and head off. "Wait," Hermione says. "This isn't the way to Grandmum's house."
"Grandmum is staying with us this year." Richard explains.
"What? Why?" Hermione asks.
"I'll let Ginny explain." Richard says.
Ginny blushes. "So, during the summer I talked to Grandmum Claire on the phone everyday. Then by mail, I enchanted my letters to read themselves to her. She wrote back in braille and I used magic to translate. Together we came up with an idea, she came here to see some magical artificers that made her a pair of glasses that give her limited sight."
Hermione gasps. "Why didn't I think of that?"
"Probably because you don't know any artificers." Luna answers.
Hermione nods and quietly enjoys the ride until they pull up to the house. "Dad, where's the garage door?" She asks, immediately noticing the difference. Ginny and Luna snicker at some inside joke.
"We had the garage renovated." Richard answers. "Wait until you see it." He says as he gets out of the car and the teens all follow him.
They all go inside, through the living room and dining room into the kitchen. As they reach the inside door that had led to the garage they all feel the magic at work. "What is going on?" Hermione asks.
"With you two getting married and finding out Ginny is Harry's sister we knew we were going to need more room if you choose to stay here for your breaks." Richard explains as he opens the door.
The space beyond the door seems impossible; it feels more like entering a house than a garage. They step into a large living area. A hallway leads back to two sets of Jack and Jill bedrooms each set having a full bath between them. The hall ends at the door to the master suite.
Hermione stands in the kitchen, looking into it all. "How did you do this?"
"Daddy helped them get in touch with some magical contractors he knows." Luna says.
"We wanted to have a place you could stay so we could help with the baby." Richard says as he leads them down the hallway.
Harry takes Hermione's hand. "We'd be honored to stay here."
"I was worried for a moment there." Richard says as he opens the door so that they can enter the master suite.
They enter the room, inside they find a king-size bed, with plenty of space around it. They both place their trunks at the foot of the bed. In one corner of the room sits a comfortable rocking chair. One door leads to an ensuite bathroom. Another door near the rocking chair opens to a nursery. A beautiful wooden crib sits against one wall with a changing table beside it.
Hermione tears up as she places her hand on the crib. "Mione, are you okay?" Harry asks as he quickly puts his arms around her.
"I remember this crib." Hermione says softly. "This was my crib."
"And mine." Helen says as she comes into the nursery. "My father made it when my mom was pregnant with me."
"How do I remember this?" Hermione asks.
"You probably remember when I sat it back up when you were 4." Helen says. "When I was pregnant again."
"What happened?" Hermione asks.
"I had a miscarriage." Helen says sadly. "I nearly died, they had to do a full emergency hysterectomy. I was bleeding so bad."
"I remember you were in the hospital and Dad was telling me to be strong for you." Hermione says as she hugs her mom. "Then he told me to go read for a little while."
"That's when I took the crib apart and put it in storage." Richard says. "I knew you wouldn't be able to look at it again and not see what you had lost." He explains. "At least not until we heard Hermione was pregnant, I knew it would mean the world to you if she used the crib."
"Oh Richard, that's so sweet." Helen says then kisses him lightly.
They all come out of the back to find Claire sitting at the kitchen table, she's wearing a pair of sunglasses instead of her normal ones."So you come home and forget to check on the helpless old blind lady?" She jokes.
Hermione rushes over and hugs Claire. "I love you, Grandmum, but you're far from helpless."
Claire hugs her back. "Point made." They break the hug. "Now take a step back, I want to be able to see you."
"Of course," Hermione grins as she takes a step back.
Claire reaches up and taps her glasses, the tinted lenses become clear for just a moment before returning to normal. "You look a lot like I did at your age."
"Really?" Hermione asks.
Claire nods. "I had Richard dig out the old photo albums."
"I'll go grab them." Richard says.
"As he does, I wanted to tell you that you looked beautiful in your wedding dress." Claire says.
"You got to see our wedding pictures!" Hermione says excitedly. "I haven't even seen them!"
"That's what you get for not coming home sooner." Helen teases.
===December 25 1994===
Hermione sits on Harry's lap as he sits in the leather chair. Luna and Ginny have taken over the love seat. Helen and Richard each sit in a chair pulled from the dining room. Claire sits in the rocking chair from Harry and Hermione's room.
"So the Christmas tradition here is that the youngest person hands out presents." Richard says. Everyone looks at Ginny and Luna.
"I know!" Luna says. "We'll do it together!"
"Sure!' Ginny says, glad to not be singled out as the youngest in the room.
"You know, an argument could have been made that Hermione hands out presents." Helen says.
"Me handing them out because I'm pregnant isn't fair." Hermione says.
"Besides this way she rests while she can." Harry says.
"Rest?" Luna says. "Is that why you two were the last ones out here this morning?"
"What other reason could there be?" Hermione asks.
"Copious amounts of sex while you are able to do so." Luna explains flatly.
The heavy blush on the married couple's faces tells everyone that guess was on the nose. Helen speaks up. "How about we open those presents?"
Ginny and Luna get up and hand out the gifts. Once all the gifts are distributed they rip into them.
Hermione holds up a book of baby names. "Really Mom?"
"I wanted to make sure you two had options." Helen replies.
"I don't think it'll help much. Harry already has a name picked out." Hermione says.
"Oh?" Helen asks.
"Rose Lillian." Harry says.
"That's beautiful."
===December 30 1994===
Inside the doctor's office. Hermione is laying on the exam table while Harry sits beside her holding her hand. Helen sits beside Harry.
An older woman wearing a doctor's coat comes into the room. "Hermione, it is you." The doctor says. "I didn't want to believe it, you were the first baby I delivered as an obstetrician."
Hermione blushes slightly. "Sorry to break it to you, Doctor Snow, but it is me, and I'm most certainly pregnant."
Doctor Snow nods. "About 14 weeks according to your paperwork."
"That's our best guess, our school doesn't have access to an ultrasound machine." Hermione says.
"Well, I do, what do you say we wheel it in so you can get a good look at your baby?" Doctor Snow asks.
"We'd like that a lot." Hermione says.
Doctor Snow leaves the room and returns with the machine. She places it next to Hermione. "Expose that belly." Doctor Snow says. Hermione pulls her shirt up, her early baby bump more apparent now.
Doctor Snow puts the jelly on the wand and carefully guides it over Hermione's belly as she looks at the screen. "Well, there's a surprise."
"What is it?" Hermione asks nervously.
Doctor Snow turns the screen to them. "Take a look at your babies."
They all look at the screen in shock as they can make out the forms of two babies.
"Twins." Harry finally says.
Hermione smiles. "We're having twins!"
"Unfortunately it's too early to tell their gender." Doctor Snow says.
"It's fine." Hermione says. "I'm fairly sure they're both girls."
Doctor Snow nods. "Mother's intuition is often right."
Helen is driving them home after the appointment. "So why didn't magic detect the second baby?" She asks.
"I think it did." Hermione says. "The spell they used is only meant to detect the gender of the fetus. That's why I'm so sure they're both girls, if they were a boy and a girl the result would have probably been messed up."
"That makes sense." Helen says. "You two are going to have your hands full next year."
"We'll figure it out." Hermione says.
Harry nods. "I know we will."
"So, Harry has naming rights, right?" Helen asks.
"That was the deal." Hermione smirks.
'I'm going to get you later for that.' Harry thinks to Hermione.
'Promises, promises babe.' Hermione thinks back.
"How about Iris Myrtle?" Harry asks.
"Myrtle?" Helen asks.
"The ghost that saved Harry from the dementors at the end of last year." Hermione says. "The dementors destroyed her as a result."
"I thought it'd be a small way to honor her." Harry says.
"Harry, I think it's a wonderful name." Hermione says. "I promise I'd tell you if I didn't like what you wanted to name our children."
"Wait, that sounds like you don't plan to stop at these two." Helen says.
Hermione blushes. "I want to try at least once more to give Harry a son. Someone to carry on his name. Beyond that, I suppose we'll see what happens."
