Chapter 94 - Chapter 94 I’ll Be the 101st Player

Hmmm~ Got it!

Sasamel flashed a wicked grin through her villainous face as she pushed herself up and leaned against the mirror, staring at the text she couldn't read but could guess. (Well, from the sneaky perspective of someone in this world, anyway.)

Every 100 or 200 days, there's a festival, huh… And from the numbers saying "3x bonus" (400%?), it's easy to guess that every 200 days, the bonus goes up by 1, right? …As for yearly bonuses, no clue if there's a festival for that. Let's assume there isn't for now. (We passed Year 1, and I didn't see it factored into these festivals… Nah, I'll keep an eye out when the anniversary hits.)

But, man! These goddesses make it so easy to figure out!

So, Day 1000 would be a 5x bonus, Day 2000 a 10x bonus, and Day 6000 a 30x bonus! Haha! Just 30 points from Sasamel got a Boss Wolf and a Boss Rab. If I sent 1000 points with a 30x bonus, that's a clean 30,000 points! So exciting!!! …

But, ugh, hold up! From the start until now, the people of this world are already in deep trouble! What kind of madness will it be later!?

I'm starting to get why those other goddesses casually gave me that longevity boost! If you're not strong enough, who's surviving 100 years!? If the final day is Day 36,500, and the goddesses burn points like convenience store rewards about to expire… A 182.5x bonus!? How insane would that be!?

Not funny at all!

Looking at the whole pattern, the goddesses probably earn points from performance rankings every few days or from dealing damage—whatever the system is. Maybe they evaluate during the festival itself. Then, it's up to each goddess's strategy—how many points to spend, when to spend them, or whether to hold back—to buff the monsters they send out. It's not just about sending during festivals.

If I had to guess, take Chon's AoE attack on those high-level monsters… If they're saving points for a festival, it might be too late, so they'd dump points right then to make the monsters appear closer to heroes, get stronger, and attack instantly!

Hmm… That's why Chon got hit back, probably because Ric's goddess or someone from Server 3 was pissed and retaliated. (What happens if your hero dies, though!? Demotion? They died in Year 2 already… Wait, when I overheard the goddesses, it sounded like Melt was the only one at risk of demotion…)

During festivals, with the bonus, they probably just dump points recklessly. You can't exactly order heroes to hunt tough monsters on those days unless they're lucky enough to be fighting them already…

Like those goofy frogs Tris fought—maybe they got buffed during the 400-500 day festival, and Toss's goddess (that Server 10 hero who farms bugs all day) didn't know what to do with her points, so she tossed a buff for fun…

But are there goddesses cheating by guiding their heroes to hunt tough monsters during festivals!? No, there have to be cheaters… If we're thinking dumb, it's like how the church sent letters inviting heroes early on, like the one May almost got. (Forgot about that, didn't you!?)

Hmm… Or maybe points can be used to protect or guide their heroes, but whether the heroes trust or follow that path is another story.

Poor Melt probably never sent points to buff me… Not because she doesn't care or doesn't want to win, but because Grace (aka me) never did anything noteworthy for her! Probably got zero points. (Sorry about that!) …But how do they track who earns points!? If it's based on the hero or their data, the real me killed "a billion billion billion" monsters—should've blown up other continents by now! But nope… Is it based on observation!? How do they measure that!? Though, Grace's body did send monsters to other continents when I tested it, but Tris's body couldn't…

No idea. Maybe my [CurseHBless] power erases my presence and buffs skills so perfectly that Grace got counted as the real deal instead… If so, that's awesome!

Whatever, the puzzle pieces are almost complete… Why the goddesses always watch their heroes, especially when they're fighting monsters. Why monsters keep invading and get more dangerous over time…

Heh… The goddesses probably aren't suspicious and won't check this side. Time for the queen to rest and pamper her husband!

Pat, pat…

"Your Majesty!" x4

Suddenly, four mysterious women in black cloaks appeared… I just spawned them with [Create Clone], fresh off the press! Their role? Secret agents secretly raised and brainwashed by the evil queen to do dirty work, including studying this mirror specifically.

"Use your skills to record all these weird messages…"

"Understood, Your Majesty!" x4

Whoosh!Click, click, click…Clank!

And with that, Sasamel strutted out of the storage room, locking it behind her, leaving the agents to watch the mirror.

Heh heh heh! I don't know how to "deal" with those goddesses yet, but I've figured out how to ruin their fun…

I'll let them enjoy their bloody festival with the people of this world for a bit longer…

When that day comes, I'm curious to see how they'll try to beat the game-within-a-game I'm about to join.

No longer one of their 100 pawns—I'll be the 101st player!
